Good night of boxing thoroughly entertaining format those lads gave it their all.

Funnily enough out of all them it was the winner who didn’t quite put it all on the line he was just doing enough to nick those bouts.

Can’t argue too much with the judging as they were mostly close fights. I thought perhaps Levi Kensiona was hard done by and edged his quarter final against Appleyard, and would have made a better semi. Dodd was coming on strong in the final round I thought he deserved to win but maybe left it too late as the 2nd was a swing round.

Gibbs was the best boxer technically, quick hands and flashy in parts. I can see why he did well as an amateur it’s questionable as to how well his style will translate to the pros however once he steps up to British level.

I did not see any of Sky Sports boxing last night. I was concentrating on BT Sports / BT Sport Box Office and there was a glimpse of something good. Agree with Jurgen that Heaney and Parker look like 2 good prospects. The Canelo vs Plant undercard was a bit disappointing.
