    He gets mutilated by Navarrete. Vargas should already have at least two losses against Kameda and Hovhannisyan, both of whom rocked him on several occasions. Vaquero will walk right through him, and I say that as someone who thinks he's terribly overrated too.

    Pretty much all the criticisms of Vargas are reminiscent of the same ones that were leveled at LSC through most of his time on top.

    Like...okay, you're long, you're lean, you're tough, you're reasonably heavy-handed and you post a high work rate - but somehow you're still given to drama-free boring one-gear decisions more often than not, and get in with mostly so-so dance partners that aren't going to change all that. :nusenuse:

    Decent performance from Vargas, given his inactivity. Baez didn't have a whole lot for him but he stayed in and punched a bit more than expected. Bout was...fine.

    Can't believe Dirrel vs Hernandez is the chief supporting fight on this card. Hoping for a Hernandez upset tonight. Pretty much the only fight that I have a rooting interest in.
