I used to dislike Canelo but the dudes a fighter thru and thru. Mad respect watching a guy like him. He’s special Anyone scoring this for Plant or crying about illegal whatever or PEDs are just haters who don’t love boxing.

Plant was boxing beautifully until he got careless in round 11.

Great punch by Canelo in a very close bout.
He didn't set that punch up but he did what he had to do to win.
Plant is a world class boxer he isn't a C level boxer and it was a good win by Canelo.
I just don't see Canelo in the same class as Jones/Toney at this weight class.
At times Canelo looked lost in this fight but Plant is very skilled so no shame in that. At the end of the day CANELO did what was necessary to win.

 

Beterbiev would have wrecked him.

Canelo was easy to clinch, push back and turn. No way he would survive that.

He beats Bivol handily though. I have changed my mind on that fight.

 

Benavidez is easier to hit than Plant but he applies pressure better than Plant does.

Canelo will probably stop Benavidez because he's better at managing his stamina levels now over the 12 rounds and is simply more experienced than him against much better opponents.

Canelo will stop Benavidez earlier than Plant.

Canelo flaws are still there since the Mayweather fight is he plods and resets his feet. The rest of his game is great.

Everybody has to be honest with themselves... PED suspension, silver spoon up his backside, etc are all true. But Canelo is a beast. I was so very wrong for years insisting that Canelo would not be great above MW due to his height.
