He's certainly fought a lot of the best but question marks over whether he beat them. Very few think GGG didnt win and theres Floyd who was his best opponent but schooled him and theres Lara who most think was robbed. Even a sizable number thought Trout was robbed. Then taking into consideration being caught on PEDS the shine kinda dulls imo.
I think Usyk is right up there! Such a skilled fighter with a resume and belts to back it up. Unified at 200+ and undisputed at 200 means he rightfully belongs in the argument.
THat's nothing but biased opinions that hold no more water than the actual verdicts. But even if you wanted to hold that against Canelo, it should have no bearing on his CURRENT PFP ranking. The Lara and Floyd fights happened a long time ago ffs.
Well that's how I judge p4p. How well they did vs previous opponents, I find that better than just guessing.
Except that Usyk doesn't have one-sided loss, exetremely controversial draw and a couple of controversial wins in his resume. Oh yeah, and Usyk isn't known for catchweights and using performance enhancing drugs like Canelo is
Canelo beat a B level opponent who had literally zero punching power. Paulie B level power = Plant. Usyk is levels higher than Clenelo. I’m not a Canelo hater, just judging what I see. If Canelo legitimately beats Beterbiev, and there are no weight restrictions, he would probably be even with Usyk.
His resume is difficult to argue against he has fought just about everybody he needed to and only lost to arguably the best ever in Floyd. That defeat and the manner of the schooling could have demoralised him but instead he tools his licks learned and improved no doubt he is the man.
I think we need to give him the benefit of the doubt on Clenbuterol because he passed the hair follicle test.
