What weight? Algieri said he was going back down to 140.

It's a step up from Benns previous opponent and continous improvement of opponent by Benn in each fight.

That said it's a dissapointing opponent despite this, for the sole reason of "it will a legit top 10 opponent next" talk from Benn and Hearn which clearly Algieri isnt.

Easy KO win for Benn. The hype train continues. I see Hearn really investing more in Benn, with the aim of making him one of the main cash cows of Matchroom. So they will continue to carefully select his opponents.

Spence finished Algieri off years ago another case of them using a old name fighter instead of actually stepping up. And an even lower risk as Algieri was never a big puncher. Would rather see him in with someone like Lipinets.

Really disagree with Matchrooms style of bringing up fighters by having them fight past their best fighters, or fighters moving up a weight for money. What happened to the traditional route of British, Commonwealth and European titles.

I saw Chris Algieri fight on the first Triller card in August on the Mike Hunter undercard.

Algieri was surprisingly impressive. Honestly, he looked very good.

If I've seen a Conor Benn fight, he left zero impression with me. Don't be surprised if Benn has a difficult night. Algieri remains a difficult 'out.'

They still have the low hype guys do that.

I admittedly don't follow the British/European level that closely but based on the prediction league matches there are several off-beat, weird, hard to look good against, banana peel types without much film available along that road.

"Why did he get a draw against a guy who's 17-5 with 3 KOs?"

Good to know. I know I said Algieri never was a puncher but he always had a good chin so I hope that you are right and he still has enough to possibly cause an upset.
