Not bad! However, a judge can't take it upon himself to deduct a point for an infraction. The referee does that, and leaves it to the judge to simply do the math.

Hope you didn’t pull a muscle bending over backwards to give Hagler those early rounds.

None was needed as mine is fair and balanced

Leonard just didn't do enough to win

Hagler didn’t. Especially rounds two and three.

Following someone around like a puppy dog all night doesn’t win rounds.

I've always said that scoring is how you win and Hagler outscored Sugar

Sugar was very good; he just wasnt good enough to beat Hagler

Retreating out of range and then diving in for a hug does though?

If you reduce a round to a few exchanges and win those, you win the rounds.

that's only IF you win those rounds

Leonard did look better in losing than Hagler did in winning and it is this which has created the impression of Leonard actually winning the fight

I must make a correction in my scoring. I remember I had round 7 even so Hagler only wins 116 - 113

Leonard winning seven rounds led to the impression he won the fight. Marvin showed up late.

I ,like the majority of observers had Hagler winning around 115-113 but even the scoring wasn't what I took away from that fight. I was fairly shocked at how Hagler looked in this fight, he was slow , seemed to push his punches , wasn't cutting the ring off and I thought at the time he looked like he'd aged several years perhaps due to the Mugabi fight. He reminded me of a fighter who was closer to 40 instead of 30 and I believe it was one of the reasons Marvin retired. His corner saw it too...
