How did you get into boxing?

My college roommate watched boxing. He turned on the tv and there was Gatti vs Ward I on HBO.

 

A brown faced American boy with a Great appreciation for both cultures.

Watching Ali defend his title monthly, early 1976, on free network prime-time TV.

 

When i was a kid i was switching TV channels and bored so decided to watch boxing. My dad was also a big Lennox Lewis fan and loved HW boxing

When the almighty Tyson Fury was sent to this earth a power of opposite nature was also created A creature of 0 bodily strength and boxing ability who's only purpose in this world was to preach the gospel of Fury. This is why I am here.

 

I remember watching him training his head movement on TV with Rooney at the time. I was hooked. I was gonna be the Asian Mike Tyson.

After I got knocked out in sparring, I still was hooked but gave up on being Mike Tyson.

Always wanted to do it. Boxing Monthly and watching Will Smith in Ali played huge roles.

Lewis Tyson as well. Mates saying Tyson would ruin Lennox then giving a different story after the outcome.

 

watching boxing on tv for as long as i can remember, cause my pops is a fan. started learning to box in jr high. hung around boxers in high school. trained under army boxing team trainer while in the service. and trained under a couple of ex pros on and off after the service. fight parties for the last 40 years for most of the big fights.
i cant remember a time when boxing wasnt a regular part of my life.
