One punch to the eye, hardly a beat down.

I've told this a few times on here, but Pierre Fourie, who challenged Bob Foster and Victor Galindez twice each (and went the distance every time) was a notorious street fighter who meticulously documented each one of his fights, which totalled over 300 in the end. This journal was inspected and verified by local boxing writers.
His favourite weapon was his head, which he called his 'nut', and he wasn't above fighting the odd policeman here and there.
One entry to his journal read: "Butted him with nut, then threw him down stairs." The recipient of said nut was a cop.
He was attacked with all sorts of weapons over the years, including knives, screwdrivers and on one occasion, a hammer.

Lies and slander! Each of his ten thousand victories were scrupulously sanctioned and regulated by the sanctioning body he runs out of his parents' basement.

Yeah? I believe you though it's hard to imagine happening to Ray. He probably just caught him off guard

If someone sucker punches you, you are totally relaxed and should pray for a soft landing. Wade was a banger good chin or no if you don't see it coming even from the average person you can't do much about it there's probably a reason he sucker punched the P4P#1

Yeah, if interested, if I find said article(s) I’ll link same.

As far as implied menace goes, I seriously take a T squared, slightly paunched, gut sucking, egg crushing Mitchum over a shredded, generously inked De Niro every day of the week!

That was back in the good ol’ days when George Reeve’s own gut sucking Superman had moobs, looking like he hadn’t taken any exercise in quite a few years. He be like, up, up and nowhere!

Just one more tid bit from Mitchum himself. There’s a scene in Cape Fear in which Gregory Peck is meant to swing a punch, can’t remember if it was supposed to land or not as per script.

Of course, in the filming, it wasn’t supposed to connect for real at any rate. Apparently Peck misjudged and clocked Mitchum on the jaw and Robert said that Peck carried quite a sock to him. Who would’ve thunk?

It was a beatdown. He kept knocking Green down repeatedly. Crazy Mitch kept getting up from whatever drugs he was on.
