Canelo vs Plant does 800k PPV buys

Not bad at all, considering it went h2h with a stacked ufc card. Now im curious to find out what UFC 268 pulled in to compare.

 

Just hope this doesn’t give him any ideas about going back to PPV.

 

That was an atrocious undercard for a PPV event....people buy into hype and pay for anything these days

A record breaking 7 out of 10 TVs had the fight on in Mexico, whatever that means.

 

Very solid PPV’s numbers. Not matching Mayweather but very solid nevertheless.

 

With these figures Plant who gets 40% of the PPV revenue easily doubles his $10 Million guarantee and PBC/ Showtime have made another boxing multimillionaire. Congratulations to Caleb and Jordan Plant. So happy for them.

 

I also understand the live gate that fight tickets at the Arena brought in just under $20 Million. The interesting thing is Plant was a heavy underdog so imagine what revenues could be generated if the perception in another Canelo fight is that it’s a competitive contest going in.

 

Canelo vs Beterbiev could make one million easy, almost certainly.

 

He has to fight the top guys at 175 to have at least the perception of a competitive fight.

 

Why do you like Plant that much? He comes across like a POS tbh. I know he had a rough past but man the way he dealt with the mother when his /their daughter passed away is making me sick. Do you know the story? Google "The missing part of the Caleb Plant Story"....it's very interesting. Hopefully he gives some of that money to his ex wife. She deserves that.

 

It surpassed my 600K prediction. Not bad for fighting a virtual "unknown".
