What fighters do you think quit a little too early?

    Someone once said "Every fighter thinks he left one to early, when in fact they all leave one too late."

    But what fighter did leave one too early?

    I can think of a couple.

    Sultan Ibragimov- this guy easily could have gotten down to cruiser, or just continued to have the occasional good fight at heavy. Fast hands, good fundamentals, southpaw stance, power, box or punch....he could have had a second life, but he just didn't want it.

    Dave Tiberi- he was so disgusted with his screjob against Toney that he he left and never looked back. Probably Toney would have beat him in the sequel, but the could have had a very big cash-in at least, and who knows, maybe he had some hidden reservoirs of talent that could have carried him on.

    I tend to agree but someone said that he is struggling with an injury.

    Great fighter, though.

    Yeah he did, but he retired 36 Wins (31 KO) and that single defeat to Barrera..


    And most stunning was his age, he was 28 years old when he retired, we may have not even seen the best of him.

    Ricardo Lopez was undefeated when he retired. The second he felt his prime years slip he retired.

    Nicolas Walters.
    He could have done so much more if he just realized that he lost against a guy that was close to unbeatable at @130 at that time.
    Maybe he could even return to 126, where he was quite the beast himself.
