I mean going up in weight is great but two weight divisions against someone with GGG power is pretty nuts. It's not like Brook was over the hill and just looking for a good pay day before retirement. that literally ruined him I hope he was paid well. Not entirely sure what Hearn was thinking unless he thought he might get other business from it maybe get GGG in the stable? Boxing is weird sometimes god knows what goes on behind closed doors.

More like Hatton-esque, needs about another 20lb to go full fat Hatton. ;)

Beat DeGale, beat Eubank, beat Murray, beat Chudinov,, should have a win over Froch.

He was one of the better SMW of his era.

I briefly questioned your math skills. Hatton fought at 10 stone and would go to over 14 stone. That's a 40% increase with George at 12 stone when fighting would equate to 16 1/2 stone. So 20 lb seems pretty accurate. My apologies for even doubting you.

No apologies needed or deserved mate.

I didn't intend it as factual lol.

It was just a flippant off the cuff joking comment extrapolating further on @FrankinDallas funny comment.
    Hence the ;)

I should have said 50lb for more effect

But as to my actual maths? They're not three bad I 'spose.

I was joking myself mate. I suppose Prince Naseem Hamed makes Ricky look like a twiglet these days. He must have doubled in weight looks like the marshmellow man in Ghostbusters.

I flunked geometry in high school, had to do to summer school to pass the final. That certainly taught me a life lesson....if you don't know the answer then cheat like hell.

Erik Morales is a fat slob now. Amazing how these guys kept in such great shape, then when they retire it's bangers and beer or in Morales case burritos and cerveza.

I guess for many it's because they sacrificed so much of their lives (and youth), constantly having to make weight year in year out whilst training like lunatics.

Now it's over, they've earned a few quid...... they can divulge !

Yeah I agree especially the lower weights and modern fighters cutting a load to have an advantage. I imagine doing that for 20 years + you going to hit the dougnuts big time.
