Shame. I still think he has 3 or 4 big money fights left in him and enough in the tank to beat most at 147

Thank you Shawn Porter for a hell of a career and keeping me entertained. Always classy and always positive. One of boxings few good eggs

Porter was the kind of fighter fans should cheer for, always fought the top opponents without BS clauses and came to fight.

I'm not buying it, when he goes home and watches the fight back realizes how well he performed and what a terrible stoppage that was, he'll reassess everything, including his relationship with his cretin of a traitor father.

Always a pleasure to watch Porter, has been in many welter wars and a true warrior mentality.

I wish you the best in retirement, Shawn.

Exactly. Shawn is a throwback fighter. Took on all comers and NOBODY has an easy fight with this guy. You have to respect that.

    Hope he changes his mind.

It was a damn close fight with Crawford and Porter looked strong and youthful still.

Gutted for him, but if a man is prepared to hang it up even after a win, that means it's time to hang it up. Realistically, what can he do? This effectively closed the door for him at 147. What's he going to do, move up to 154 and get a few wins before the same guys who beat him move up and beat him again?

    Get while the getting's good.

I really like Shawn, good game fighter and never backed down. Big respect to him for that but tonight’s stoppage doesn’t sit right with me. Overbearing father-son relationship, Kenny probably oversees Shawn’s sexy time sessions and gives him tips.
