This is no diss on Shawn, as he does have a couple good wins in his career. But you hear this a lot when a fighter loses most of his big fights, "he fought everybody". And? If you are losing most of the big fights what exactly does it mean? Not much imo. Yes we can agree Porter was not a ducker but he also showed he wasn't a great fighter either. Good fighter but not great.
fighting everybody over a long period of time, win or lose, proves you belong among the top echelons of the sports. Because if you don't belong, there is no demand for you to fight the big names.
90% true. Porter made it 100% clear that he had zero interest fighting Ugas again. Many people had Porter losing that fight.
