With news of the rematch between Charlo and Castano reportedly on the horizon; who would you like to see Tim the Tool man face next?

I think Kerman is a fun and a competitive fight for Tim. Lubin is another fun fight but I think he takes Tim to school after 6 rounds.

    What's your take?

Tony Harrison said he’s willing to come to Australia to fight Tim Tszyu that’s more intriguing other than Lubin. If he wasn’t to prove a point to Charlo and Castano beating one of those guys would send a message.

Harrison is a good shout out. I hadn't seen anything in the news about him for a while. Surprising to hear there is anyone willing to fight in Australia. Respect to Tony

He did an interview with fighthype while he was in the UK working the corner of a fighter on the Galahad vs Martinez undercard. I feel like if Tszyu wants to send a message and create a serious buzz that’s the route to go since Harrison is an ex champ in the division.

Id like to see him face Harrison, i think Harrison would give him issues and possibly get the win.

Harrison pulled out of a lucrative fight with Tszyu because he didn't want to come to Australia. I'm not sure he elaborated why but I'd say it was because he didn't want to quarantine for any amount of time.

I'm not sure Team Tszyu will be so keen on him now.

It appears Gausha was another name at the top of their list but they should be wary of fighting some to risky at this point. Gausha nothing special though.

Thanks mate, I'll chase that up now for watch. Cheers for the detailed description, making it much easier to find. Keith kUrbanov is another guy with an undefeated record, high in the rankings and someone Tszyu said he'd possibly fight in Russian IIRC.

I like Tim but I think he gets hit way to much when his finished throwing his combos and is moving to the outside. Any classy operator will time him and make it look easy. The good thing is Tszyu is still learning and seems to be a hard trainer. His pops was the reason i started lurking around ESB in the early 2000s as a kid before signing up for an account. Makes me feel old now just thinking about it.

That was at a time nobody wanted to fight in Australia even UFC fighters due to quarantine rules that would effect their training. Telling a fighter he has to come to your country and for 2 weeks he can’t even leave his hotel is a tall task for a fight with such high stakes..

You got to do whats right for you and it's tough ask coming out to a country on the other side of the world to quarantine when you are preparing.
But not a lot could be done about that, he was going to be well compensated and it was up to him if he wanted to take that risk vs the reward.

My understanding of the situation was that they organised for him to stay in other private accommodation with facilities to train in whilst he quarantined.

I've recently read an article where Tony seems to gloss over that fact he had already turned down the fight. Talks about being excited to come over and how others would be apprehensive about doing that but he isn't. I actually had to double check the date was correct because I thought it could have an interview from a couple of months ago. But it was recent.
The author seemed to infer that Inoue was chosen instead of Harrison which is simply false. Tony just didn't sign the contract and sent a tweet of a middle finger up when it become clear that Tszyu's handlers weren't going to wait any longer for a response.

He would be a very good test for Tim especially in the U.S. But I thought his team might have a bad taste in their mouth about him after that.

I get what you’re saying but he would have gotten paid to lose sense he wouldn’t have been able to train properly. A fighter wouldn’t want to take a with such high stakes while being compromised. If he beats Tszyu then he’s the WBO mandatory in line for either a lucrative trilogy with Charlo or a big fight with Castano. If he would have went even they had the strict rules and lost then he becomes just a gatekeeper. I would rather be fully trained with no restrictions in that position.

Is this a joke? First solid shot from Tszyu puts Lejarraga on ***** street. He has a glass jaw at Welterweight, at 154 it would be even worse.

Fun firefight while it lasts but Tszyu has equal or better firepower and is FAR more durable. Zero wiggle room on how this ends.

I reckon Tszyu destroys Lubin within 3 rounds. Lubin doesn't have the chin to stand up to Tszyu.

Lol. It's a refreshing change from the usual "[insert fighter name] has a glass jaw" threads you've been doing for years.
