Yup definitely an anti-whyte agenda, Ive been on the front line for two years now. A lot of violence and rioting out here, frothing at the mouth. The good news is that most of the rioting is contained within this forum, Whyte is mostly praised on social media platforms. And for a non-title holder, he has been doing fantastic in capturing public sentiment with sold out arenas and 2.5 million PPV buys to date. You can’t ask more really.
I mean say there are 1000 members here who dislike Whyte There are millions out there who praise whyte as a fan, who pay money to watch him fight. I doubt there are even 1000 here, Probably 20, with 980 alts.
Scott Gilfoid is a massive Wilder fanboy, literally both nuts in his mouth at the same time, basically anyone who is a threat or speaks badly of Wilder is gonna get this ****in tranny queen shitting all over them in the most one sided way
To be honest I rarely read the main website, as a lot of it does come across as you say. The above were particularly agregious though, and compounded by them turning off the comments. Could be as you say, or he could just be on the PBC payroll. Though given he seemed to tone down the rhetoric slightly when writing elsewhere, it points toward BN24 being the ones requesting a certain line be followed. Raising the profile of a specific promoters' fighters and shitting on certain other promoters and their fighters. Basically I suspect they are bought and paid for and calling themselves "news" is a bad parody merely used to give them a veil of legitimacy as they churn out disinformation to suit specific interests
The WBC wouldn't even order the fight at their convention a couple weeks ago. What does that tell you?
Personally, if I was to hazard a guess, it tells me that Whyte was upsetting too many established interests by trying to go it alone. He needed the backing of a PBC or Top Rank (heck even a Don King or Golden Boy) to become a favoured son of the WBC. And although aligning himself with Hearn helped with Whyte's own financial interests, it did not align with the interests of the American promotional outfits. Resultantly, the WBC have done their best to stall his advances toward their title, whilst keeping the ever-unfulfilled promise dangling there just enough to keep him paying fees into their pockets.
You're a reasonable guy. And as I understand it, a sports writer. Surely you have some insights on this topic. Am I blowing things out of proportion, and BoxingNews24 is in fact just an online Fanzine that uses News in the title to increase traffic, but in doing so became a cited secondary source for other boxing news websites? In which case fan articles are to be expected, and it's just an unfortunate choice of website name... Btw I don't expect boxing writers to go on a crusade to tear down the sport that they love. i.e. biting the hand that feeds them, especially not in a sport where clearly one hand washes the other. But the writer I highlighted is going a bit beyond that. Or is it par for the course, and I have my pro-Whyte blinkers on? edit. also it's perfectly understandable to not want to comment on another writer at all
Like what is this ****? Charles Brun is the latest writer pushing an anti-Whyte narrative it seems: Here is the first article that comes up with Whyte and BoxingNews24 for 2021. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2021/07/dillian-whyte-vs-joe-joyce-an-excellent-fight/?amp "Whyte has no excuse not to fight Joyce at this time because he’s been facing weak opposition since his loss to Joshua. Recently, Whyte has fought Alexander Povetkin, 41, and Marius Wach, 40." "Joyce can’t afford to sit and play it safe the way Whyte has been doing with his career. That’s not going to work for Joyce because he’ll miss out on many big paydays if he chooses to fight weak opposition. If Dillian doesn’t have the courage to fight Joyce, then Joe would need to try and coax Andy Ruis Jr, Luis Ortiz, or Filip Hrgovic to fight him." - that is shameful to write such biased crap. And even worse to publish it https://www.boxingnews24.com/2021/11/tyson-fury-will-do-a-job-on-dillian-whyte-says-frank-warren/ "If Fury chooses to fight Joyce next, you must applaud him for this choice, as this big 6’6″ guy is the best contender out there and worlds better than Whyte in Charles Brun’s estimation." "Joyce (13-0, 12 KOs) would be an excellent option for Fury, as he’s fighting on a higher level than the 33-year-old Whyte, and it would make it more entertaining for boxing fans." - Again, another Boxing News 24 writer chatting absolute nonsense while playing defence for American promoters. Got to keep those fights in house. Don't let Whyte near that title. I understand BoxingNews24 welcomes submissions from anywhere, but do these articles not go through any kind of review process before being published? I note yet again the comments were switched off on for the above articles. So it's becoming clearer and clearer the editors know what's up
Isn't BN24 just a parody site? Pretty sure Scott Gilfoid is just a fictional character, like a Borat/Ali G type. Parody of American journalists
