Kambosos won the fight for me, but it was razor sharp close. If lopez put him down one more time or won 2 rounds more he would have edged it.
Lopez came out believing he is fighting a b tier fighter and even after the kd thought it was only a lucky shot.
He was to aggressive and tried to brawl his way to victory but by the time he realized that thats not working it was already to late.
I think if he wouldnt have been so arrogant he could have won this even fairly comfortable.

Lopez is a athletic limited slugger with pop that's it. He needs a new trainer and work on his game.

totally agree. Had he done nothing stupid he would have won without problems.

but, hey man, if he's stupid, he's stupid... :nusenuse:

going all in in the first round is pure gambling. A pro fighter like teófimo should know that. Well, now he knows.

edit: I'm still in shock because of how stupid his game plan was...

Lopez ducking the rematch and his general arrogance led to his downfall

I still think he beats this guy in a rematch. Seriously, Kambosos looks like a Gatti/Katsidis type of fighter. I don't see anything special.

Because he bought into his own hype mostly put in his head by his dumbass trainer/father. He had no plan b he didn't prepare for a boxing match.

Yes, if there wasn't that arrogance from Lopez it could be closer, but i got it 8:4 for George. Not so close.

kambosos has nothing. He has not even power actually. He just connected a counter cold, end of the story. The rest of the mess was teófimo ****ing up his own career with a stupid plan that made him lose wide the first rounds and waste a shitton of energy that he needed later.

Not to talk about the fact that the stopped pushing when he dropped kambosos in the 10th, probably because he thought he was up enough not to worry about the rest of the rounds. What an *******!

Maybe but the rematch usually favors the better boxer. Unless Lopez gets a real trainer he will be in trouble on top of that he's battling weight issues.

His skills eroded post-Loma. He fought a great distance fight that night with educated pressure, but tonight he was doing the Jermain Taylor bow and arrow right hand.

He needs to **** can his father ASAP and take his training seriously. He still has a great future but needs to be honest with himself about his development.

I thought Lopez was going to win because he's got power and Kambosos didn't.

I had a feeling going in that Kambosos was the better boxer, but It thought the power difference would negate it. I was wrong.

Lopez isn't that skilled. He's a slugger. He had a close fighting with Nakatani. Loma gave up too many rounds early and still easily won 5 of the last 6 rounds of the fight. It was already known that he can be outboxed.

What many of us didn't know was that Kambosos is a much better fighter than we expected.

Lopez is like me....he thinks he's God. Works for me, but not so much for a boxer.

He believed his own press clippings. The Lomenchenko win went to his head and he was clearly delusional about winning 11 rounds. Lopez will be back, but at 147lbs it seems he would only be average, at 140lbs it will be interesting.
