So effectively splitting the round 10-10 with the KD against Lopez making it 10-9? I’m assuming that’s what those 2 judges have done I guess.
Ah sure! The 10th was definitely a KD for Lopez. It’s the first round I was referring too, where in the immediate aftermath of the KD, Kambosos is also down but that was ruled a slip. A few posters were saying that was ruled a KD for Lopez.
Suprisingly 2 out of the 3 judges rightfully scored the first round 10-9 Kambosos. Most of the time bonehead judges give a fighter that scored a knockdown the round 10-8 even if he was being dominated in the round, which goes to show you how alert boxing commisions are that they dont reprimand or even alert their judges not to automatically score 10-8 to the fighter scoring the knockdown.
Yeah I’m cool with it, personally I would have had it 10-8, Kambosos winning the round on the back of the KD outweighing Lopez success previously, plus the -1 for Lopez due to the KD. Bit harsh on Lopez but meh it was a great shot and he was fighting reckless so he should probably suck that one up.
Personally I don’t think Lopez was dominating enough for a lock on 10-9. He was fighting reckless and he got caught by a beautiful shot. 10-8 is just fine too in my opinion.
If without the knockdown you would have given that round to Lopez, you then basically have given Kambosos 3 points for scoring a knockdown. A 3 point swing under that circumstance does'nt make any sense to me.
Yeah without the KD Lopez wins the round 10-9 most likely. With the KD, that swings the round In Kambosos favour with him winning the round and the KD taking another point. Lopez was winning the round up until that point but not enough to negate a KD taking it away from him for me. You can’t just not deduct a point for the KD. And if you think that was enough for him to win the round also 10-8 it is. I guess that’s why it’s wise not to fight reckless. One punch changes everything.
Haha sorry I just realised we are saying the same thing. It's been a long day Edit: actually I don't even know anymore. I think my brain has melted
