How did Zhang look last night?

    Haven’t had a chance to see the Lewis fight yet. How did Zhang look? Or was it too short of a fight to gauge where he’s at after his medical scare?

    He may not be the best boxer but he has my respect. Someone else may have retired after that but hes fighting on.

    Agreed. I’m actually a fan of his and will be rooting for him and hoping for the best if/when he gets his title shot. It will be one heck of a mountain to climb for him, but anything is possible in this sport, especially when you hit hard.

    Apparently he called out Filip Hrgovic. That should be a no-brainer and quite an easy fight to make for Matchroom/Sauerland. Hrgovic by KO though.

    Decent. Dont think he'll ever be a world champion, but he can be in some fun fights. I think he should start stepping up in comp now.

    He's ranked #8 by the WBO and #13 by the IBF

    Might possibly get bumped up a bit higher after last night or make an appearance in the respective top 15 of the WBC's and WBA's rankings too

    Hrgovic will KO him but credit to him for being one of the few to call him out and being willing to step up to the plate to take the Croatian Colossus challenge

    Zhang will officially be 39 soon, is slow, doesn't have an iron chin and seemed to have some serious health problems in the Forrest fight.

    That being said he's still undefeated, 6'6, 260 lbs, has big power, southpaw stance, skills and experience (extensive and successful amateur) and clearly has courage. Probably higher IQ, more industrious and disciplined than the average HW contender as well.

    Zhang should position himself to be AJ's comeback fight after his second defeat to Usyk. Zhang would have a decent puncher's chance.

    He'll never be a world champion but can definitely be in some entertaining fights. Plus he's very marketable. I'd put him in against someone like Bakole, Wallin or Hughie Fury, to see how good he really is. As mentioned, he's not young so needs to get a move on and secure some big money fights.

    He hits very very hard. I don't think it's a given Hrgovic beats him.

    Hrgovic is very hittable, I wouldn't be so confident in him beating Zhang.

    He improved his defense imo, but still too lethargic. At this stage he needs to be, I suppose, due to his bad stanima. As far as power goes I think his left straight is the hardest punch in the division, or just behind Wilder's right cross. Which makes sense, given he's a 274 pound Southpaw who isn't as fat as Fury but weighs as much as him. If he gets in better shape I'm pretty sure he'll end up with a title shot and a 0.1% chance of winning a title. (Or like a 30% chance against Joshua if Joshua can KO Usyk, due to Joshua's propensity to getting hurt)
