How do you like a prime Riddick Bowe's chances against whomever holds the best claim on the heavyweight championship in 30 years?

    90s rules. 12 rounds, etc.

Bowe would be annihilated by a 60-year-old superheavyweight up to his gills in roids named Canelo.

The #1 champion in 2051 i feel will be a 6'6, 250 pound bootleg Lennox Lewis that gets viewed as a heavyweight monster until he looses to a fat guy and gets schooled by a former cruiserweight.

    Bowe stops him

Human boxing will be outlawed and participants will be replaced with robots. In which case Bowe looses to a 10 foot terminator droid.

That's total bull, antman. You can't do **** to destroy the planet. It's been around for billions of years and you think it's never had any climate changes in weather an temperatures in billions of years.? It will survive long after the human race and most of the species living now are long extinct.

As for the thread question, yeah Bowe can win. why not? 30 years ain't that long. After all you got people today insisting that boxers like Ali, Liston and foreman from more than 50+ years ago can still beat the champions today

    I pick the 2051 guy.

The rules being "softer" is actually debatable. If anything, combat sports have gotten more acceptably violent over the past 30 years. That said, it's quite possible that Champ 2051 fights under rules similar to amateur competition; it could go either way.

Either way, I'm picking the 2051 guy. I expect continued improvement in PEDs, legal supplements, and sports training alike. More importantly, I expect that medical tech will have been vastly improved -- and will likely include genetic engineering and the ability to repair damaged brain tissue. Recruitment will be from a larger global field, but even aside from that, Champ 2051 may well have modified genes for better health, and may still be biologically "young" at age 60 after decades of boxing experience.

Maybe he is calling society (as well as sport culture) and human well beeing (western) ? Of course there is "no problem" for the abiotic rest of this planet.

    Regarding Bowe (Holyfield version):

What have Bowe´s chances been since Lewis in 97 until Fury now ? Can we fit him between Lewis and Wlad to be "the Champ", maybe at the end of Wlads reign ? I´m not sure how you guys think prime Bowe would have done against Wlad, but it looks like he wouldn´t reach #1 in here most of the time.

So, do we even have to go until 2051 ?

Wlad and Fury may potentially beat him based off styles. I think Wlad KOs Riddick but the Fury from the 3rd and 2nd Wilder fight gets destroyed by Bowe. Maybe a 2015 Fury beats Bowe. A guy like Joshua gets chewed up by Bowe, even if Joshua actually somehow beat Fury. In all honesty Vitali himself might loose to Bowe, dino made a good argument saying that Vitali couldn't even keep a past it Lewis off of him so Bowe has a good chance

And what about 97-01 Lewis ?
I don´t see Bowe beating Fury, but I give him better chances with his power against a lower version of Wlad.
Agree with Joshua and Vitali (Vitali might be tricky).

What I´m sayn is: The periods to fit him in between the major champs are really just temporal and smaller than the reigning time of these champs itself, which means that his chances against the major 2051 world champion are below 50 % for a good margin.
If you believe he beats that Lennox, Wlad and the lower versions of Fury, his chances rise significantly of course.

I dont see him beating Lewis, but i do see him beating 2015 Wlad and Wilder trillogy Fury, but not prime Wlad. And at this point im questioning how good Fury's win over Wlad was because Wlad didn't look too good against Jennings prior

If we extrapolate Wlads performance against AJ back into his prime, we should get a hell of a fighter. Then on the other hand, some would argue how terrible AJ really is/was.

The Wlad - Fury fight was indeed so sh***y, that I´m not sure what to make out of it. In my expectance, it was one of the worst HW title fights I´ve seen.
Fury was stretching it to the max. with his boxing, and Wlad was bad enough to play that game (chess). Lennox Lewis did a huge comment afterwards and it was pinpoint: A true champ should never leave a title like that by knowing that he is losing the fight.
And thats really what he did. He had to make that fight risky and ugly at the end by applying pressure aggressively. And he knows that he got major power in both hands to do it. So no blame to Fury.

Imo, Wlad with the attitude of the AJ fight, and Fury of Wilder 2, would really collide into something else in contrast to what we saw in 2015. Hard to tell what would happen, but I think the fight would be much closer. Wlad has power and Fury got toughness. If we believe 2015 Fury was prime, the fight would very well be much closer if Wlad fought aggresive too.

Nevertheless, I wouldn´t be confident to put Bowe over both these guys.

We will be in a completely different era of PEDs by 2051. Also designer babies with modified DNA may be a thing by then(if they aren't already), so who knows what athletic freaks of nature are roaming around in 30 years.
