And did Whyte mouth off before or after the WBC failed in doing right by Whyte and giving him a shot? I don't see why whyte would mouth of just for the sake of it? He has grinded hard, and watch Ortiz get two shots ahead of him, and Fury get three shots. And Fury was plucked from OUTSIDE of the WBC roster, he wasn't even ranked. So that is more than enough grounds to get pissed off. And rightly so, why have a ranking system if it means jack ****?
Man this comes across as quite pathetic. Your basically saying Lewis losses are easily explained away, but Fury being dropped by people who he then stopped is somehow concrete proof that Lewis would pulverise him? Jesus. Have you seen the cunningham fight? Not just youtube highlights but the actual fight? Fury is fighting with his hands down and taunting, trying to show off to the Americans. He paid for it by being dropped. I think Lewis would beat Fury, but I think it would be one of his tougher fights and I think that the logic you are using to get to the same conclusion displays your lack of either boxing knowledge, or an inability to talk hypotheticals without bias. Also your saying that because he 'struggled' with Wallin (by having a cut that affected him so much he only won by 8 round to 4.....), he would lose to Lewis. So surely we can say that because Whyte got knocked out by a past prime Povetkin and was dropped by Rivas he would get pulverised by any half decent fighter yeah? You ever seen Ali getting dropped by Cooper? Ha what a bum, no wonder Ali never went on to achieve anything noticeable in his career.
Please don't be silly. Fury is never giving Lennox a hard fight, ever. Fury is troubled by guys like Wilder who have zero skill, Wallin who wasn't even top 50.... and I couldn't care less if Fury had his hands down... that's his problem... he got clocked hard but a mediocre cruiser. On top of all this, he is challenging himself with guys like Pianeta, Schwarz, and Seferi. He has no clue what a tough fight is like. And I am not wasting anymore time talking about fantasy match ups. Ali got dropped by Cooper and yet Ali is regarded as some God, but if Whyte is KOd by a KO artist like Povetkin he is bum. I don't put much stock into the mainstream opinions on this forum because most members are full of it. Actions speak louder than words, and I've given a historical account of What Fury is all about.
Easy work for Fury He cannot be knocked out nevermind by a bunch of midgets like Lenny did. Fury beats him up in the late fight
So you don't give a damn that Fury was obviously not taking Cunninghan seriously....but Lewis' losses were because he wasn't taking opponents seriously and so they don't factor in? And yeah your right to throw some criticism towards Furys record. It should have names like Whyte and Joshua on there by now, but he has beaten Wlad and Wilder at least, as well as completely schooling and stopping Chisora (who most people seem to think was robbed of a win against Whyte). Being dropped by someone doesn't make you a bum. It happens in boxing, great fighters have been dropped or troubled by lesser fighters at times....it happens. Seems odd to talk a hypothetical match up and only to take into consideration the lowest points of a fighters career. But then I suppose that fits your narrative better. This is literally the equivalent of me saying 'Whyte looked like **** against Helenius therefore Jake Paul would KO him'. Why would anyone be stupid enough to pick THAT performance by Whyte? Where he clearly looked like he hadn't trained and didn't give a **** about the fight? If Fury was fighting Lewis, I'm fairly confident he has the intelligence to know that he has to approach the fight like he did Wlad or Wilder 2....and not how he fought Cunningham. Get some common sense ffs.
He'd have issues with Fury and might get sparked by Wilder. I definitely give him greater than even odds against both, mind you. Just saying.
Lewis stops Fury. Fury has great recuperative powers, but I imagine every time he gets up, Lewis puts him back down. Lewis was really good at placing those big shots. Fury won't be able to bully Lewis on the inside. Lewis was really strong. Lewis will dish out some damage if he tries. Fury doesn't have the punching power to land the surprise one shot KO either. Fury's best bet is to try at fight at range, but Lewis will adapt turn it into a scrap and win.
By using my eyes to watch the fight. Fury was standing square and taunting Cunningham. He was clearly showing off which was a stupid move.
That's just making an assumption he didn't take him serious. Boxers do that stuff, trying to show up a bit. I don't buy in to the 'didn't take serious' stuff. Boxers know better.
