True, but let's see if he can earn his stripes as champion, it is easy to be a rising contender these days but being praised as parting the Red Sea, only time will tell, anyone can have an off night and lose. Andy Ruiz Jr was being hailed as as the next great champion based on his stoppage of Anthony Joshua, I posted let's wait and see, he needs to earn his stripes like other champions before him did, I was right as it proved to be a one hit wonder fight, Joshua won the rematch easily. I am like the show me state, I have to see it to believe it.

Different strokes for different folks. Let's see if Usyk can hold onto his belt, Tyson Fury is still the WBC World Heavyweight Champion. If Usyk can defeat Fury, then he has earned his stripes.

Richard, all of the fighters that I mentioned were CW champions. Their is a hell of a difference between Andy Ruiz and a guy like Uysk that has been dominant at every level amateur and pro. I realize most on here don't follow boxing anymore except if it's THE heavyweight title but Uysk has been well known in the boxing world for years whether it be because of his win at the world's or Olympics or the Super Six or most recently beating Joshua. He has already shown and proven his greatness.

I think Fury is there to be taken. That why he was busy fighting nobodies and Wilder.

I agree. I think Uysk is without question the more talented fighter but the question comes down to if he can handle the size of Fury. I think Uysk's speed and movement will negate the size advantage. Wilder simply does not possess the same skillset and basically got smothered by Fury because he tried to trade with him.

For people like @Richard M Murrieta getting stopped by Ali is a greater accomplishment than being the undefeated, undisputed champion in the modern era.

It is undeniable Fury's resume has a paucity of class wins.

Nobody in the the modern era is going to lose, they hardly ever fight, Uzyk is not the undisputed champion, currently Tyson Fury holds the WBC Heavyweight champion, what you say is quite a compliment for a youngster who knows zero about the history of boxing, these guys today are Divas, can you relate?. I think that they are overrated. Stay out of my posts if you know what is good for you, understand child, go play with your Lincoln Logs. And have mommy and daddy clean you, I think you pooped.

    I am talking about CWs.
Wasn't talking about Fury, who is still better than the likes of Mildenberger.

Richard, I have always respected and liked you as a poster but Uysk is no diva. That guy is one of the balliest champions ever. You will never find a guy that won ever single world championship on the road like he did. He is the ultimate road warrior and someone that I am confident you would respect if you watched his fights. He is absolutely the goods and is no flask in the pan diva. Just because this sport is not mainstream popular anymore doesn't mean that the guys fighting today are garbage. Those dudes at CW were as deep of a group as there ever was.

Richard is a good dude that loves the sport. While I don't always agree with him especially when it comes to Uysk I can't blame him for being frustrated with the sport. We have a lot of fighters/promoters that pad records and avoid tough fights these days. Uysk is not one of them but the majority of the sport today is full of BS unlike the era that Ali ruled.

The sport was full of BS then too but they weren't getting as much money as they do today so they had a reason to fight more often.

I agree with you there but my point was that the best fought the best and the sport wasn't watered down by multiple title from different organizations. With that said, special fighters will always rise above whatever BS is happening with the sport and Uysk is absolutely that guy. He simply doesn't care who is in the other corner. He is beating them and that same mentality is exactly what Ali had.
