Another great fight, the start of 2022 is looking very good, much better than I expected for sure. I would love for Callum to win this, but sadly I don't think he will. He's overrated on here I feel. Huge power but a very limited fighter come forward pressure fighter, who is one paced and one dimensional. He's also 36 and has had a bizarre career with a ridiculously low number of fights and years of inactivity. He can punch- that's great, but at the bigger weights at top level almost everyone can punch. When there's no plan b and he comes up against someone who is just as big a puncher or bigger (which he arguably is here) he is likely to get knocked out. I see him getting involved in a shoot out again and coming of second best. Hope I am wrong though, as he's a nice guy, and it would be a great story if he won- plus it sets up some good fights too.
I think he KD of Beterbiev has really clouded alot of people's judgement on Johnson. 36, reckless, limited and has been very inactive.
Good post. Well said. If these two were to fight 10 times then CJ would maybe win 2. Down to a bit of luck and probability for Callum here. Like yourself I would like to see him do it tho
Think Johnson is very vulnerable now but has his shot so fair play to Warren think Smith kos him in first 3. If we're Johnson should just try go all out for ko
Yeah this is how I see it. Don’t think it’s going to be anywhere near as competitive as people think but we will get a few entertaining rounds before Johnson is sent to retirement.
Callum Johnson gave Beyerbiev hell. If he puts that performance in on January 15th, he stops Joe Smith.
He did well but was 3 years ago and hasn't look great since. Could be completely wrong but I think that was Johnson at his peak.
