In that it was stunning Povetkin was allowed to fight in that condition.

I'm not a Whyte hater, just interested in your logic.

Whyte couldn't make it to the 8th round against AJ.

He also needed two tries to beat Povetkin.

Has never fought Ruiz so it's completely unknown how that fight goes. A focused Ruiz could beat Whyte for all we know yet.

So... seeing as how AJ stopped Whyte head to head. And Whyte also got knocked out by one of AJs other scalps...

How are AJ and Whyte on the same level?

Must take into consideration the circumstances and the factors influencing each fight. People want to speak about how Covid affected Povetkin in his rematch with Whyte well lets look at the factors affecting Whyte then for fairness and completeness.

When Whyte fought AJ, whyte had a serious shoulder issue, see video from 9 minutes and 59 seconds:

When Whyte fought AJ he was the lesser experienced man with only 7 amateur fights and a handful of pro fights. He was training inefficiently out of a dusty old garage lifting weights with mo real structure to his strength and conditioning plan as a boxer. Meanwhile AJ was training in the finest facilities the UK had to offer British boxers with GB boxing team and their trainers (analogous to Rocky 4 training for Rocky vs Drago) and then AJ had over 60 amateur fights.

So Whyte beat AJ in the amateurs and in between that time AJ had surpassed Whyte in skill and readiness.

Now since that fight, Whyte has been described bu various boxers who sparred both as the most improved heavyweight as compared with AJ, from memory I recall this interview with Tom Little from 4 minutes 30 seconds:

Now why did Whyte need to beat Povetkin twice? The simple answer is he got caught with a solid punch which can happen to any heavyweight. And Povetkin is a dangerous KO puncher despite his age, where Roy Jones Jr here describes how punch power is the last thing to leave a boxer when recollecting how hard Mike hit him despite the seniority:

    From 1 minute 22

Furthermore, everyone knows KOs are a big risk in the heavyweight division and Whyte knee the risk going into this fight. Whats more important is how Whyte handled the fight prior to the knockout, he was winning clearly, beating Povetkin pillar to post. More convincingly than how Michael Hunter performed against Povetkin. And in the post fight Povetkin said “I did not expect to win via a KO like that.”.

Anyways, Whyte avenged his loss in fantastic fashion, shoeing no fear of the man who sparked him out cold and he hunted Povetkin early on to return the favour. That deserves credit because we have seen how guys like AJ avenged his loss against Ruiz in being hesitant to engage and hesitant to taste Ruiz power again bu running circles.

So the dame question can be asked of AJ why did he need two go’s to beat povetkin? In the past we have seen greats get KOd in upsets that wasnt supposed to happen. Ergo Lennox Rahman Don’t understand why Whyte is singled out.

Povetkin was still durable in the rematch, despite people saying he looked shaky and unsteady... he ate some heavy heavy shots from Whyte who is regarded by many professional boxers to be a hard hitter (that have shared a ring with him) like parker. see parkers comments on Whytes power:
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sk...lian-whyte-hit-him-harder-than-anthony-joshua

there was also an interview i shared here 3 years ago with Parker reflecting on Whytes power where he said it wasn’t just his left hook that hurt him, all of Whytes punches felt hard.

Whyte is a guy with the power to KO granite chinned duded like Chisora, and Povetkin ate serious shots in the rematch and still didn’t go down, I invite you to rewatch the rematch and tell me if I am exaggerating. Povetkins durability.

Yes but don't forget that Whyte had many years of experience as a gym sweeper watching good fighters train.

Naw, I trained with Ruiz, he’s legit 6’2, I’m 6’1 and he’s taller and even though he might be one of the shorter heavyweights you just can’t call a 6’2 man a midget.

I'm also 6'1, and I scooped him into the palm of my hand and ate him like a milk dud.

He got KOd by Povetkin and lost to Chisora. He performs alright in rematches against further diminished versions of the fighters he already lost to, hardly the mark of a dominant force. He's clearly only at the level of an old Chisora and shot Povetkin if he's going essentially 1-1 with them.

Nothing you wrote challenged nor addressed what was being discussed. You don't seem capable of addressing anything written and don't seem to want to engage but instead just put out there what others have said.

Whyte didn't knock Parker down with a punch. Your statement doesn't change this. Whyte's win over Parker on one scorecard 114-113 was based off a knockdown that never happened, a headbutt knockdown, meaning at best Whyte deserved a split decision win against Parker when AJ steamrolled him 118-110 x2, 119-109.

You say Whyte is above AJ, which is demonstrably false. AJ didn't need two chances against a younger Povetkin. AJ didn't scrape by Parker or Chisora.

You respond with what others have said but seem to have no thoughts of your own other than "Whyte good, Everyone else bad"

Edit: Damn, you got banned. I was interested in seeing you type out what others thought. Don't take as long to come back to the forums as you did last time when Dillian got sent to shadow realm by an ancient Povetkin.
