Let's say the division never really took off and we still had that gap between Middle - To Light Heavy?
What then for some of those that reigned at SMW? Benn, Eubank, Jones, Joe Calz?
    Do we miss that division?

We would have missed out on great fighters like Tim Littles and Frankie Liles.
Roy Jones would have far less of a claim to greatness.
Calzaghe would probably still be bussing tables somewhere in Wales.
And great champions like Nigel Benn would have been lost to the sands of time

I think that the better super middles would have been very competitive at light heavy.

It has not been particularly rare, for the best fighter under 175 to be a super middle.
