Presuming the fight isn’t fixed in any way, isn’t just an exhibition and no clause disallowing knock outs, 12 rounds of 3 minutes, in heavyweight division.......who wins?

I’m having a debate with my friend who thinks Logan wins based on age, height and reach

The corpse of Mike would win if it's legit.

I found some quoted American betting odds that are insanely good value.....

    Mike Tyson is -150
    Logan Paul is +130

Height and reach? Tyson's entire career was as a giant slayer. He always gave up a lot of height and reach.

Age? I don't think it matters here. Tyson hasn't lost muscle if you've seen his training videos. Power doesn't go away if the muscle is still there. His muscle is still there. He can probably still hit harder than most HWs.

The first time he lands a clean shot, Paul goes down.

Based on how much work Roy Jones had to put in to stay away from Tyson in their meeting, I see Tyson taking out Logan Paul early. If it does go long Tyson had better be in shape or he could lose based on exhaustion. If he is in shape Paul has no chance.

When he boxed Roy, it appeared Tyson had to be and was very careful not to accidentally put Jones out. If Mike’s apparent benevolence was not as per consensual pre fight arrangement, I think Roy would’ve understood and appreciated Mike’s charity deep down anyway, even despite Roy’s own ego.

I would think Tyson could flatten Logan quickly but then, thinking of motive, how would an emphatic KO loss advance Paul? Either he’s taking this fight because he knows something we don’t (dodgy dealings afoot) or he literally thinks he can take Mike??

It’s a sad reflection when, before launching in on predictions re either of the Paul brothers’ fights, we preface our forecast with “Well, IF there is no fix and this is on the up and up….” Such is the confidence in their legitimacy.

Tyson is pushing 57 and it’s no joke. Look at what just happened to Holyfield. Anything could happen. I don’t like it at all.

Little difference but Mike’s 55 yo and I agree with your sentiments.

Ex WH Champ or not, no one that age has any business competing in a legit pro boxing match. In regards to concerns for Tyson’s safety first and viability second, at least we got some idea v Jones how Tyson might go. An exhibition but he didn’t look too shabby.

Even in prep for his fight, Evander appeared a lot worse off. Still, I’d prefer if Mike didn’t take up this fight but ultimately, if the right price is reached, Mike will agree to it.

Age certainly works against Tyson here, but with age comes experience. He’s seen and done sh!t Paul can only dream of. I think Mike was measured against Roy both as a matter of contract (no knock down rule) and probably giving some respect as a fellow professional champion.

He can’t have any similar respect for Paul. If it happens, I’d see a feeling out round, then (assuming no contract limitations) Tyson deciding whether to give the public their money’s worth and draw it out, or give us what we want and launch him into orbit.

Holyfield looked like **** in training. Tyson looks great in training. Also, Tyson's fight with Jones showed that both he and Jones can still fight. Either of them on the day of their bout would have murdered Holyfield on the day of his.

Anyone remember Holmes in his 50s making a joke out of Butterbean, in a full pro fight with standard rules? Aging and damage doesn't treat everyone the same.

... dammit, I just want to see Tyson knock Paul's head off.

It depends on whether or not Mike took his anti-depressants that day. If he didn't, he'll Bolivianize Paul and I'd pay to see it.
If he smoked a joint before the match, he may take a round or two before he decapitates Paul.

Comparing Tyson's physical condition to Holyfield's is laughable. Mike is in top shape, for his age and for any age.
The man went 8 rounds (I think) trying not to hurt RJJ out of respect. He has no respect for Paul, and if the old, children
eating Tyson shows up he will end Paul's career.

Evander fought a younger guy in shape looking to tear his head off .. notice how we have not heard a peep from Oscar about rescheduling that match .. he knows he dodged a hell of a bullet .. Tyson sparred a Jones who was as past it as he was with no legs and a china chin .. Tyson has not been in fighting shape for over twenty years .. I have no idea how a fight today against a young, big guy in shape and there to try would play out but it is risky for him at this age .. He is essentially stoned all the time including in the ring .. if he doesnt stop the guy in the first minute I don't like it at all ..

It's a fair point but Larry was younger, was still fairly active , was a boxer and the skills that made him him were more present than Tyson's thirty second promos ..Mike has about a round to stop the guy before he collapses and if the guy simply hugs him it can be tough ..
