Yes, I think he was the best fighter in the whole wide world for 17 months! Untill he stepped up the competition a tad bit.

Yep, 2001 before he stepped up and lost to Forrest twice. After beating DLH though using ROIDS!

I remember that prety clearly, though Mosley was never considered the undisputed #1 guy. There was much debate back then whether to place either Mosley or Trinidad at #1. Of course people had their split opinions up until they both got their asses kicked, Trinidad by Hopkins, and Mosley by Forrest. And then I think Roy Jones became #1 again after all that.

No hes not along side the other 2 because you can put both of them in the top 10 best ever....Shane is a great fighter and an all time great and would be a tough opponent for anyone at 135 but hes not quite that high

I tell you who doesn't like Mosley; Victor Conte and his former trainer. These are two guys that he tried to lie on because he doesn't want to own up to his cheating ways. I bet Judah doesn't like him after Mosley blatantley ducked him.

I guess you never saw the second Hearns fight with Leonard. No way he wasn't on at least something that night.

For embarrassing Hoya twice and making love to Jin? No problems here.

No is not on the level of those two sugar, but a great fighter in his own right. Wish he would had fought at 140 also. Then he would really be up there on all time great list, because I think he could clear that class at the time

He's a great fighter. His victory over a prime DLH is a huge accomplishment and trumps any victory that a guy like Judah, Mayweather, etc.. had.

I don't take too much away for his losses to Forrest and Winky as I would pick those guys (in their prime) to beat DLH, Trinidad, and Mayweather, SSM's contemporaries. His loss to Cotto was extremely competitive and at the tail end of his career, and again I would pick Cotto over the aforementioned, except Trinidad.
