i couldnt pick a winner. 3 more rds would have separated them.
you have to fight good fighters, relative to where your skills are at, in order to get better. tank is not progressing like he should. floyd is protecting him too much. needs to build him, not just his career.
this would be akin to berlanga going a hard 12 with canelo. although cruz is rhythmically more complex, berlanga is a more dangerous puncher. floyd is running out of smoke for the mirrors, hes gonna have to match him hard soon.

Tank must be given credit for missed and blocked punches. Cruz had surprisingly good defense and controlled much of the fight. Just think how well it would have gone if the ref took points from tank for holding as much as he did and using his lead arm constantly to push his opponent. Refs always call that and the guy last night didn’t say a word.

they typically call it in favor of the A-Side or equally if the fighters are both B tier.

    How did Davis win?

Was he landing the cleaner shots? Nope.

Did he ever hurt Cruz? Nope.

Was he on the back foot spoiling and clinching? Yep.

Was he hurt multiple times? Yep.

Did he look uncomfortable all night long? Yep.

7-5 either way, a draw is fair too.

I definitely have to rewatch and rescore this one.

Again is amazes me how you guys are surprised that Tank got the decision. Theres no way Floyd is going to let Cruz get the decision. I didn't see the fight but I'd have bet the farm on Tank getting the decision if he was still standing at the final bell regardless.

Opinion seems to be heavily divided and split right down the middle. Even two of the judges only had it for Twink by a round and no one can honestly say that he didn't deserve to incur multiple point deductions for his incessant holding, stiff-arming, headlocking, leaning down forcefully on Cruz's back and pushing him to the canvas and through the ropes and had he not been allowed to get away with all of that all night Cruz would've found it so much easier to get in range and unload his hooks and string together his attacks in combination which is exactly what Twink was deathly afraid of happening. That's the biggest controversy of all for me

This is what happens when Cruz is allowed to fight his fight and the only reason he wasn't allowed to is due to a corrupt ref refusing to enforce the rules, because had he done so it would've been highly detrimental to the A side's chances of winning

a fight can have many rounds close but still not be a close fight, I thought it was a pretty easy fight to score and easy to see who was in charge. I admit that Cruz did better than I thought but it was a easy to see that most of the rounds Cruz won was rounds Tank gave away. 116-112 was a fair score with 115-113 a score that made the fight look closer than it actually was.

Had it even, 6-6. If I had to pick a winner it would've been Cruz.

    Gave Cruz 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, 11, Davis the rest.
