I hope he fights a few more times, but what would be his path back to a title shot? I can't imagine fighting a few bums would do it. He'd have to fight some top 10 or top 5 fighters. Probably Ruiz, and then a belt-less AJ? Would Wilder even want to risk losing a non-title fight? And, let's say Wilder did win some respectable bouts. What if Fury had all the belts at that point? Would Wilder be given a shot against the guy that already smashed him twice?
One could only wonder had Wilder and to a lesser extent Joshua picked up boxing in their early teens. Both guys were physically and athletically blessed.
