Why didn't "Terrible" Tim Witherspoon ever fight Tyson, Holyfield or Lewis? / Who would've won?

On his best night, Tim Whiterspoon is live with any of the 3 guys you named. Not that he'd be a favourite, but he probably could squeeze out a win against one of them. Whiterspoon was very hot and cold, but we're talking his best night here, and remember that Holyfield and Lewis also had some off-nights.

 

You urgently need to see this documentary to know exactly what happened with Witherspoon's career.

Very fun documentary that isn't primarily focused on Witherspoon, but he's one of the main subjects in the video. Highly recommended.

 

Tim has been spamming all of social media trying to get a job. His post fight assessments of the two recent big HW fights have been painful. Grafting hard for a job while sounding like a dunce ain’t too bright. I liked him as a boxer. He was nothing special but a good boxer.

 

His issues with Don King is why he didn't fight Tyson and Holyfield (also losing to Bonecrusher right before he would of fought Tyson). The Lewis fight could of happened in the mid 90s during Witherspoon's resurgence on HBO (him beating Al Cole, Jorge Luis Gonzalez and losing a close decision to Ray Mercer). If he could have gotten the nod in the Mercer fight then I could see him being a possible opponent for one of Lewis' early title defenses after Lennox's odd win over McCall.

 

All three of them stop Spoon.
