Hearn, signs these heavyweights up then doesn’t feed them any meaningful fights. This is so Joshua will stay protected. He doesn’t see the EE heavyweights as moneymakers.
he looks like he has been regressing more then improving lately tbh... i think maybe both joyce and yoka beat him in the pros now.
This is one of the most interesting threads I've read recently. People offering interesting, educated opinions without having to abuse those with contrary views. .......and that's the problem for big Fil. No one cares enough atm the lose their **** over him. Is it him or his management? EE fighters are part of world level boxing and have been for a minute. Fans care about and pay their hard earned to watch GGG, Usyk, Loma, etc often as A sides so being an EE fighter doesn't exclude him from being a money maker. I think KOing even a Kownacki on a televised undercard in the US would build his visibility enormously
I'm in the camp that this is on Hearn. Keep him busy monthly icing journeymen (keep him in shape, sharp, gain experience) until you can secure him a fight that actually progresses his career or his learning curve. Zhang, Forrest, Pulev, Takam, Jonathon Rice etc. There are definitely fighters out there he can make fights with.
He's got all the pieces in a way that none of the other up and comers do, but he is languishing and it's taking a toll. If AJ loses the rematch maybe Hrgovic gets unleashed a bit?
Zhang has been ranked in the top 10 for years by the WBO. I think Hrg will get his shot due to better management earlier on. Although prime Zhang>>Hrgovic (check the medals, the resume, the power, the skills, the speed) Hrgovic will get beaten badly when he steps up. He’s a duck, too. A duck who gets ducked, but a duck is a duck nonetheless.
American culture and British culture is similar but so different. Not one of those gaudy pieces looks good. And that other cringey ****...lol. Americans see someone ostentatious and love it, we just call em flashy pricks. and yes Hearn is definitely mishandling him but I don’t think he’s deliberately keeping him from Joshua. Hearn always puts his fighters in tough fights and it’s better to match up AJ with his fighters.
