I agree with you in terms of ring ability and what they’ve achieved in their careers. Joshua has about as much charisma as my ball sack after a 12 hour night shift but Chisora in particular and to a lesser extent Whyte crack me up and that’s a part of boxing you don’t get in other sports.

In terms of overall package Chisora is PPV worthy for me. Never know what’s gonna come out his mouth, if the table stays to the floor or not, he’s a come forward type fighter.

And even you must enjoy the fact he doesn’t try and suck Eddie Hearn off in interviews.

Chisora isn't some kind of saviour for boxing. He's as much of a con man as Eddie Hearn is.

Did you know he will be bringing war and pain in his next fight.

He plays up to the crowd no doubt about it. But he’s completely unhinged as well. Particularly during fight week. You can detect it in anyone who has to interview him in fight week. It’s like they’ve drawn short straws in the IFl office for who gets sent to interview him as they all know they’re in for a rough time.

He’s as rough round the edges as you could ever see but the fact he has no form of defence is part of his charm for me.

Nationality means nothing in boxing and to real boxing fans, Real fans just want to see the best fight the best which rarely happens and we will get behind anyone who is prepared to put it on the line. Conor Benn dosn't fit that category for me he hasn't fought anyone domestic for any domestic belt but is calling old shot to pieces fighters out for PPV loot. I cannot get behind someone like that same goes for Dillian Whyte, nobody wants to see past prime heavy bags fighting on PPV in fights where they are payed to lose to keep promoters and broadcasters raking in millions at the fans expense. Benn should have been fighting people like Avanesyan Mckinson and Essuman not Granados Algieri and Broner.

Nothing tonight that persuades me to re-start my DAZN subscription. Don't mind Joe Cordina but over 5 years as a pro and is fighting the world no 230 (Boxrec) - is he ever going to step up?! Jordan Gill apparently had a technical draw earlier against the world no 130. Benn fight mildly interesting, Davies-Lundy is meh but at least competitive, and hopefully Maria Sharapova can give Taylor a few backhands before the inevitable points defeat. Next week's 'blockbuster' also looks a damp squib after Buatsi-Vlasov cancellation.

I’m hearing Woodsy is presenting again. That might persuade me to resubscribe.

That is how i see it sadly, shouldn't have to think like this though, fighters getting robbed, if they get in that ring and perform then they should be given it.

Obviously very early days but shows some promise I think. Great KO just now.

Hope he's not prone to cuts though.

Chisora rightly calls out the fact that people like IFL make fairly comfortable lives from lots of free time spent by fighters and promoters. No other industry would allow this, other than contractual obligations and the occasional phone call.

In football, for example, players have obligations attached to media rights; journalists have their phone numbers and make the odd call to get a line here and there, but that's it. If a player appears as a pundit on TV, radio or in a paper then they get paid for it and quite right.

Chisora can see the views his videos generate and thinks he should get some of that, and frankly, I wouldn't blame him. You can tell he's got one over IFL for calling that out.
