During their bout? Meaning what did they have to contest with besides the pain of the other boxers punches? What comes to mind is Mosley in the Pacquiao fight, had a HUGE blister on his foot due to all the backpeddling. Also pacman in the Marquez one fight, like he was wearing bad socks or something hurting his feet! Then another crucial one was Joe Messi vs Vasily jirov. Jirov hit him with a clubbing rabbit punch that caused a massive brain bleed. This made him forfeit any chance to fight the legend Mike Tyson. Lastly, David Haye broke his toe in n the wlad Klitschko fight, the even showed it by taking off his shoe! I'm sure you ol'timers have classic tales of stuff legends are made of like "oh back in my day we had" etc etc. What are some instances of fighters fighting off an injury all the while fighting their opponent? Let's go! Ps Micky ward woke up from a punch from the late great Arturo Gatti (rip) but that was an isolated incident I mean how many guys wake up with a good punch to their head? Usually it turns their lights off lol!
Another good one was deontay wilder with his bionic hand. Dude had pins and needles screwed in there just so he could go out there and punch lol !
Isaac Chamberlain beat Wadi Camacho after 10 rounds after dislocating his shoulder in the 3rd. I know it's recent but the only thing I could think of.
Floyd Mayweather had a (mental) reading disability. Poor guy couldn't read. This content is protected
Joe Gans fought 42 rounds against Nelson while weight drained and 9 of those rounds with a broken hand. I've heard he fought some of the last fights in his career while having Tuberculosis but that feels way too insane to be true. Maybe someone who knows more about him can correct me.
And that was a very bad dislocation too. I remember it very well. It was clearly visible, his arm was pretty much just hanging down and useless
As someone who dislocated his shoulder in the gym that was one if the most amazing moments Ive seen. Dislocated shoulder hurts like hell. How do you fight like that and manage to win? Its amazing.
Joe Frazier got shards of metal in his left eye with a faulty speed bag. Had to fake the eye tests for much of his career.
