Was more a comparison to the fighters in that Groves was a fundamentally sound boxer puncher like Taylor whereas Benn is like Eubank he has a good engine and lots of heart but is a bit of a pretender and will likely get taken to school by the elites of the division.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see Benn vs eubank 3 in a couple of years. If Chris can keep at 160

 

Eubanks got more to his game than Conor. Think it'd be a stoppage for JT if they fought, but they never will. Not unless Taylor suffers a stoppage loss or two.

 

More chance of Benn fighting Katie Taylor than Josh Taylor.

 

If Khan vs Brook is going to be a good fight then they could very well meet again outdoors at a big stadium for the summer of 2022.

 

Connor Benn boxed well last night, Thats the best I've seen him. Earlier on in his career he was gung hoe and took a few too many. last night he was measured didn't waste much, had a decent defence and through a a good few faints. Tough division at the moment though but lets see how far he can go.

 

Benn gets alot of **** and he is a little ***** but I don't think you can deny he is fun to watch.

 

Would love to see that fight. I think they will avoid that until there is something, world title, more to be gained from a real threat in Avanesyan. I have no doubt Benn would fight him tomorrow, but the business handlers will steer the ship away for the time being.

 

That's one thing I really miss about DAZN. Where has the passion gone? I can not hear from Costello and Lee that they are passionate about boxing. Really hope Eddie Hearn spends Christmas and New Year's days putting together a new team. Talksport actually does it well.

 

Benn is entertainment and the huge leaps in improvement is there for all to see, even the ones who don't want to see it. Whatever you think of him, you have to admit he has seriously put the graft in the gym with Sims.

He looks like a completly different fighter now and is clearly a very good trainer in the sense he listens and wants to improve.

 

We wouldn't know just how good he is until you put him in with a live body. People were impressed by his destruction of Vargas as well.
