His team saying they want him to fight for a world title in 2022 but let's be real that's not going to happen whether they are serious about it or not so how would you like to see him matched next year?say the plan is to have him out three times how would you like to see him matched for his development? For me an Ava or kavaliaskus type should be the goal at the end of the year and ideally someone who can at least punch a bit in the interim.

Avanesyan, Kavaliaskus, Hooker and Mckinson are good fights for Benn.

Avanesyan fight won't happen as he is with Warren.

I think it's more likely Benn fights Robert Guerrero if he can't fight Broner / Brook / Khan next.

He's running from the European champion yet they want to fight a world champion. Yeah right.

Major setback if you get beat by the European champion. Whereas everyone can lose against world class fighters.

Hearn doesn't want another Lewis Ritson scenario.

Kavaliauskas is the fight. Good age, tough, big puncher, knocked out Avanesyan a few years back and can use Benn’s performance as a yard stick against Ortiz’s the other month to see where he’s at etc.

    Be someone like Guerrero though.

After the fight on Saturday the winner of Brook v Khan and Broner were mentioned so that tells you everything you need to know about how his 2022 is going to go, playing it safe with has beens. Benn made a video where he's calling out Broner, Broner was put in prison less than 2 months ago, is mentally unwell and has alcohol issues. It might sound harsh but I think what we're learning from Benn and his opponents is that he has no shame, he's happy to keep going after yesterday's men, in some case just guys from yesterday ie. Granados who, let's face it, was never really anything. I remember Lomachenko saying that he wouldn't want to fight Manny because it wouldn't have been the best version of him. I understand taking a few older guys on the way up but some of these guys aren't just older, Algieri was pretty much retired. I still think the jury is very much out on Benn and anyone that thinks it isn't need look no further than his last call out, the lad wants a World Title fight and he's calling out a guy who has had only one fight in nearly three years, was sent to prison less than two months ago and is quite clearly very unwell. All this when Avanesyan is sitting at home waiting for the call to actually give him a test and a fight that will give us an idea of where he is.

    For Broner - https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/boxing/adrien-broner-jail-news-b1943330.html

Broner in America would be a great fight in March. The Khan v brook winner in the summer and then see where he is. He will definitely be a superstar in the sport if he wins them both.

What would be the point in any of those fights? Genuine question, what would we be learning from that? We know that both Khan and Brook are done, we know that Broner is on the verge of being medically and psychologically done if he isn't already, all it does is strings us along while Avanesyan gets a bit older so that the second he shows signs of decline they can line that fight up. I wouldn't have much of a problem with any of this if everyone around Benn including Hearn kept their mouths shut but don't talk big and then go for these kind of fights.

Jo Jo Dan must be on the shortlist should the winner or loser of Brook v Khan not fight him.

it would make his profile bigger. If he is delivering knockouts like last weekend then his fans go home happy while thinking he is on his way to a world title. They aren't interested in avanesyn and the sooner avanesyn and his team realises that, the sooner he can try and get an eliminater for a belt himself.

josh Kelly tried to win the European belt and his profile has gone right down. Kelly won't be happy with the risk he took because the reward wasn't that great either.

Eddie watched Kelly against avanesyn and saw that the same happens to benn. Why would he do that when he can make twice the money the other way round.

I know as a fan we want the biggest fights and challenges but it's not going to work from a business point of view. Or a career move.

Dont know if you're post is a sarcastic one so apologies if so but he's not going to be a superstar if he's not a world champion.winning a world title is the very least he will have to do to become anywhere near a superstar.

I'm not being sarcastic. I think people will believe he is on his way to a world title if he beats a Khan or Brook. He will make at least a couple of million from the 2 fights and his second name is Benn

    Nailed it.

Meerkat's teach their young to catch scorpions by firstly catching it themselves, pulling the sting off then letting their young practice catching it without fear of them getting stung.

His opponents have been carefully selected. They have no sting so the young Benn can indulge without fear of getting stung. It's fair enough, they're building him up and drumming up the hype but the fact they are doing that shows the lengths they're going to to protect him.

Benn fans aren't interested in seeing him in tougher fights against better opponents? It's just playing it safe until the inevitable when he goes in with someone decent who irons him out, will those fans stay around then when Benn is on the canvas rolling around with his dad being held back as he's lisping out of control? Proper boxing fans can take a loss of one of their favourite fighters and stick with them, I'm a huge fan of Sam Eggington mainly because of his attitude and style, it's a breathe of fresh air, I've seen him go in naively and get ironed out early on but the lads courage, heart and attitude can never be questioned. What wins you fans is being in big fights, testing yourself against the best you can and building a legacy, win or lose, as a fighter that left everything out there against the best they could fight.
