What is the most exciting fantasy fight for Joe Louis ?

    For me it probably wouldn’t be a boxer like Ali or Holmes, though I’m sure they would be great fights. Maybe a fellow puncher like Mike Tyson or a warrior like Holyfield ? We’re not talking about who beats who but just pure action and crowd appeal. What do you think?

    Larry Holmes. Elite jabbing contest from the beginning with Louis - probably - searching for an equalizer. A busted up Louis hunting down a tired Larry Holmes in the final third of the fight, Holmes probably for-real standing his ground at some point. The winner likely to be the man that keeps his feet, whether or not we hear the final bell.

    I actually think a prime Louis v Marciano would be a gripping fight.
    Even in his last fight, he still has Rocky bruised up so a prime, Joe!!
    Probably toughest fight for both men.

    Yeah, I suppose so. You don't think Dempsey simply blows him out?

    I guess it could be competitive, but most likely Dempsey pounces and Joe doesn't know what hit him.
