I just watched the full fight and I'm not really impressed. Yes, it was completely one-sided, but Inoue looked flat, kinda disinterested (going through the motions), and he lacked his usual precision and timing. I'm not sure what to make of it here... Could just be that the Thai was packing titanium in his chin and he was just that tough a mofo. Inoue could have been utterly bored and didn't take his opponent seriously. I mean, how can you see his resume and be anything but unimpressed. He himself said that Japanese fans are disappointed w/ the opponent — mind you, Inoue offered fights to Casimeo, Warren, and Russell. Maybe Inoue wanted to carry the Thai a little bit since he hadn't fought in Japan in 2 years. Maybe Inoue was drained to death — he looked very dry and had the "drained zombie eyes" at the weigh in. Inoue from this fight loses clearly to Nonito from Gaballo fight. We just don't know why Dipaen lasted 7 rounds.
I dont think it has to do with him being weight drained tbh. He got the KO, which is the important thing but like you said maybe he carried the guy to give his fans in his hometown a show. I expect Inoue to look better in his next fight.
He approached things very casually. There was some experimenting going on. This is what happens when you are the complete master. Not ideal, but there it is. Inoue has to have 2 meaningful bouts in 2022.
If he had struggled then sure. But he won every round and knocked out his opponent while messing around in the ring.

He looked fine to me. Took his timegot some good work in. The opponent was tough. Took a lot of punishment.
