This Andy lee version of Parker would likely Heath Whyte and AJ with a couple more tweaks..

    You're missing the point...

...there was no positive outcome for Joseph Parker in this fight other than to stop Derek Chisora. He could have won this thing by the same margin that...I dunno...Luis Ortiz beat Malik Scott by back in 2016...and it doesn't change anything.

Parker was expected to stop Chisora in their first fight...and he didn't.

Parker was expected to stop Chisora in their second fight...and he didn't.

That's because they they make the fatal mistake of believing what their eyes tell them

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Joyce is nothing special. He took a lot of big shots from Dubois. Good for him that he took them well but hardly impressive.

An extremely-tough SOB. But Fury, Whyte, and Haye all managed the feat. Seems like the bookies didn't put JP in that category.

Oh please… Be a bit more original than a triangle theory… Besides Usyk schooled Joshua who beat Parker… We can all play your game.. even worse Parker needed two fights to beat Chisora convincingly… And with every fight Chisora is aging more and more now too.. so don't try and extrapolate too much out of this performance or its place in the heavyweight landscape… I guarantee you Usyk would convincingly beat Parker as well.. & Usyk was pretty inactive going into that fight too btw.. aswell as trying to adjust to HW still.. if they fought again now I'm convinced Usyk would TKO him mid rounds in a near shut out.. Call me when Usyk loses to the likes of Whyte & Joshua. Parker is decent , but he's no Usyk. BTW, Usyk outpointed Chisora comfortably, first couple of rounds he was uncomfortable but then he coasted so let's not pretend it was a close fight. Only bellew believes that, and a few other idiots.

Yup, I agree. But still needs the tweaks. He still needs to bring out the killer instinct.

He's still only 29 so who knows.

Joyce has a far better jab and guard than Parker.

Joyce beats Parker imo. Close fight for sure but Joyce is way more consistent over 10/12 rounds.

I think it's the first time in 4 or 5 years that Parker has shown improvement between fights. Still plenty to work on but at least it shows he's willing to learn and change, the issue was always likely to in big part due to the the novice Kevin Barry training team.

"Cometh the hour, cometh the man" as the Bible says...

when Usyk was in there with AJ...he took the fight to AJ in the back half...something that JP was unwilling or unable to do.

It wasn't so much the fact that JP lost to AJ that was disappointing...it's just that he seemed content merely with going the distance against AJ.
