WHY DO YOU SO HATE MARCIANO AND DEMPSEY AND CONSTANTLY MAKE UP YR OWN HISTORY FOR THEM? IT'S VERY ODD. LIKE AN OBSESSION. THEY BOTH LIVE RENT FREE IN YR BRAIN.

Beterbiev would come in this fight as heavily muscled CW. AB with this extra
muscle and power would able to hurt , cut and floor the Rock. But not able to
overcome the Rock incredible grit and conditioning. Rock ko 9rds.

DonTurner's full of it! Having said that I pick Marciano by late tko.Beterbiev is very predictable and sometimes gets caught square.Apart from Langford and Dempsey there are very very few men under 200lbs I would give a half a chance with Marciano.

When pitching two guys against each other that liked to slug in a phone booth, I would personally pick the bigger guy that has better conditioning. That man is Marciano.

Turner says he was trained by Charlie Goldman, look up their respective careers. chronologically and geographicaly they do not jel.
Turner says pad work is a waste of time. Goldman was one of ,if not the first to use it employing sparring gloves put on backwards,he later used a pair of home made pads.
Turner says Mayweather, and Ward would only be 6 rd prelim boys ,"back in the day".
Turner says Marciano would beat both Klits on the same night.
Turner states "cut men," are a con and a waste of money and persuaded Holyfield to dispense with his ,only for Holyfield to get cut and Turner be unable to stop the bleeding. Turner claims to have trained dozens of high profile boxers ,look them up and see how many have his name attached to their resume. And for those that do, look how long they retained him.
He was in Holmes corner for Larry's later fights he had no imput into Holmes strategy by that stage of his career He was basically a bucket and towel man for Larry imo. Turner claims a fighter cannot, "overtrain,"yet many have said they have and state that is the reason they lost fights.
To hear Turner everything was better back in his day and today's fighters are ****.

The stuff on Charlie Goldman may be right, and Turner is exaggerating on Rocky beating both Klitchkos on the same night or koing them with his first punch. Pad work I think is over done but useful. Cut men are essential though a lot of old school trainers were also cut men -Angelo Dundee, Gil Clancy etc.
Turner thinks boxing was better in the old days and I agree with him however there are still great fighters today just not nearly as many.

So he is wrong on pad work and wrong on cut men?
Is he accurate when he says Andre Ward and Mayweather would only be prelim fighters way back when?
    Back in my day!
PS Goldman, who is Turner's God ,brought in Freddie Brown to do cut man duties for Marciano and without his cool head in the 1st Walcott fight when Rocky's own corner nearly blinded him ,the fight may have turned out differently.

Marciano couldn't beat Ted Lowry. Marciano also couldn't handle Ted Lowry's power. Beterbiev by early around knockout.

Wouldn't Beterbiev be the naturally bigger man though if anything? I suspect he generally enters the ring heavier than Marciano does and as an amateur he fought at 200 pounds. Marciano might be more active though but it would be interesting to look at punch stats.

We haven't seen enough from Beterbiev. Rocky should be favored to win. I'd say Rocky stops him within 9 in a pretty entertaining war of attrition at close quarters.
