Louis was better & exponentially more accomplished.
Dempsey would have a shot given the styles matchup, & Louis said he did not like swarmers, or know who would win between him at prime & Marciano.
But I would no pick him, although I do over prime Tunney, even that is unsure.

The questions are: Will this look like Schmeling vs. Louis first fight? Or, will this look more like Tunney vs. Dempsey first fight? In a best of 7 fights, both are going to get some wins, IMHO, but I'm going with Joe to get the better of the series.

 

agreed on the win but that quote is flawed styles is not the only thing that makes a fight other things matter
