How long does Tommy Morrison last against David Tua

The poll options are gold, but it's a trick question. Morrison never fights Tua, because Louis already knocked Morrison out of contention.

 

Hasim Rahman had a much worse chin than Morrison and Rahman was beating Tua in their first fight until he got hit after the bell and Rahman did beat Tua in their second fight but got robbed. Morrison is much better than Rahman could out box Tua as well.

 

If he tries to fight him as he did old George, then Tommy survives a while.
Tuas gonna get him eventually tho.

No he didn't. He took bombs from Sanders all night - eventually stopping him. I don't see Morrison taking those shots from Sanders & surviving long. Anyway, Morrison-Tua would be similar to Morrison's fight against Mercer. Tua KO in 5.

 

He has a real chance of beating Joe Louis, but it is merely a question of how long he lasts against David Tua!

Great story. Besides Wladimir Klitschko who did Sanders ever beat? Morrison got hit with numerous flush punches from Razor Ruddock and got up and stopped Ruddock. Rahman got laid out with one punch from Lennox Lewis. Lewis had to knock Morrison down numerous times and Morrison kept getting up.

Morrison had a better chin than Rahman , was the far better boxer, had more skills and was a bigger puncher.

So my point still stands. Tua was a 1 trick pony. If you choose to slug with him he could stop you. If you tried to box you could easily out box him. If Morrison is in shape and fought smart he would beat Tua more times than he lost to him.

 

Morrison was also knocked out in a round by light punching journeymen Michael Bentt. He was floored 2x by a shot, light-hitting Carl Williams. He went life & death with tough, average-hitting, extremely limited journeymen Joe Hipp & was rocked several times.

 

Tommy said joe hipp was one of the hardest puncher he has ever fought.

Hipp was a good puncher (I correct myself for saying average) & was very durable, but he was a journeyman that every time he stepped up - he would lose (mostly by KO).

 

I would give him as little chance against Louis as you can with two fighters at this level.

My point is that it is ridiculous that some people pick Morrison over Louis, but take him for granted against Tua, who is at least on about the same sort of level.
