    Fury is a sensation.

    Incredible, once again.

And to think most noobs thought David Price had the beating of him and that he was never anything more than British level.

Usyk could have won but he only had 1 fight against a guy who had been ktfo by ruiz Jr and on top of that most people here don't rate AJ anyway and say he's trash. So now when usyk beats him you want to declare it as some atg win. Although I thought usyks performance was sublime and even made a thread about it, it doesn't work like that. He should have gotten the award for best performance of the year usyk would hands down get my vote but he didn't do enough to take foty from canelo who had way more fights and was impressive in his own right.

I agree with the list, none of it was overtly bad or anything

How is Lara-Warrington not the biggest upset? Kambosos had beaten Selby, so we knew he was decent and had a chance, especially given all the delays.

Very few thought Lara would KO Warrington, who has one of the best chins in the game. You could count on one hand the amount of people who predicted Lara on this forum.

And if it's not Lara-Warrington, then surely it has to be Martin-Garcia.

What is also laughable is having Crawford's performance over Porter in the nominees for best performance. Porter won nearly all the rounds and hurt Crawford once or twice. You could even argue Porter was still ahead after the two knockdowns.

At least the Ring isn't as bad as LDBC favourites Champside, who awarded their fighter of the year award to....Claressa Shields for losing an MMA bout.

I thought Lara was the obvious upset and even a contender for KO of the year. Warrington was ****ing stretched out

People saying Usyk, but why? He won some heavyweight belts from AJ, who was KO'd by Ruiz just 3 fights earlier. That was his only fight.
Many, if not most people didn't rate AJ as the real champ anyway, they had him a notch behind Fury, and we know THE RING have Fury as the champ. So basically, Usyk beat the magazine's top contender (whose been beat up worse before, and relatively recently) by a decision.

Some of you guys saying Usyk are the same ones who say AJ is overrated robot who can't box and has no chin and no stamina, so what's going on?

I just watched Rosado's knockout of Melikuziev.

What a BEAUTIFUL counter! You can't throw one much better than that.

Deontay Wilder wins the Ring Magazine Round of the Year honor (the round he floored Fury twice) in what would turn out to be The Fight of the Year.

This will go nicely with his Ring Magazine Round of the Year award in 2018, when Wilder floored Fury in round 12 of their first fight.

Their first fight was nominated for Fight of the Year but lost to Canelo-Golovkin 2, which no one talks about or watches anymore. (It's like Dances With Wolves winning Best Picture at the Oscars over Goodfellas.) Wilder-Fury I should've been Fight of the Year that year, too.

    Congratulations Deontay.

Canelo-GGG II was miles better. Wilder-Fury I was just Fury putting his hands behind his back for like 10 rounds, and Deontay landing twice in the whole fight. To call that the fight of the year is an insult.

I agree with this assessment. Plus, KO of the year should be Povetkin-White I. Yes the Rosado KO was stunning but he
wasn't being beat up like Sasha was.

Fighter of the year should be Campbell Hatton. To win fights with no skill whatsoever is astounding.

Should have been Usyk on the sweep. They should have given stuff that doesn't even make any sense like prospect and comeback to Usyk, just because.
