I sent John a Private Message, shortly before he was hospitalised and off of the site... I thanked him for his honesty & integrity, spoke to him a bit about Eternity. I offered him some things to ponder over and of course not long later we heard of his passing. He complimented me for my research and caring heart, thanked me and said, "your a class act thistle" ... I have never forgotten him. Rest in Peace Sir and Dempsey1234... is Kikibalt still well, Burt too, I know he had some trouble a few years back. a lot of good posters left these sites too, because of the handfull of bullies boy know it alls, where other peoples knowledge, thoughts or research is mute. Sadly, they are the killers.
WOW!..I didnt know Demps passed away!! That is ssooo sad!..I got off this site for awhile--but had him in the back of my mind , since the time he offered to meet up with me regarding boxing training...I will regret not taking his offer...great man of boxing!! Alot to learn from this man -- not only as a boxing expert , but as a human with an awesome soul !..may GOD have him on his side...we will miss you Demps !!!!..youre an example of how boxing managers should be!!! RIP Demps! Sending our love from the heart.
He and I clashed on many occasions and just never got on at all, probably my fault . Saying that , he seems to have been an unfailingly generous man with his time and is spoken well of by everyone here , so this is sad news. May he rest in peace.

I couldnt help to shed tears a few minutes ago and prayers (since i just learned today of his passing)...thankx for sharing your wisdom with all of us DEMPS!..may you be in a better place with our lord..sending my sincerest appreciation ,love and condolences to his family also ..thank you DEMPS for all your advice...❤❤❤
I was just talking to one of my closest friends, a man that I met because of Dempsey1234, and, of course, his name came up. We both miss the daily emails of videos of fighters in the gym, the trainers training them, and the "what do you think of'' questions, and seeing the names of people that were also seeing the email and would be reading my opinions. My friend is the guy that convinced Kallen to sign Nonito Donaire, so he is used to it, but it was a thrill for me. And the almost daily phone calls just to talk boxing, I miss that. I had been out of the gyms for 8 years when I found myself in Oklahoma City and I was a little nervous about it. We talked daily and he had a number of people call me and talk boxing with me, guys with names that would be recognized, if I put them out here...it did wonders for my confidence.
I don't mean to be self serving by bumping this thread, but somebody liked the original post yesterday and it made me think. There is a group of us- 4 of us- that became friends after Dempsey1234 introduced us. We made a pact to always work together and to help one another in our boxing endeavors. This last weekend there was a fight card in Mexico. My partner and I had a fighter on the show. Another member of our group had a fighter on the card, and the other guy had 2 fighters. I am stuck up here in Montana. If you pay attention to such things, you will notice more Montana fighters (and it isn't a huge number, but it is more than the zero it was a few years ago) showing up on undercards on fairly good shows. We honor his memory by helping each other.
Another man that I met because of Dempsey 1234 is doing pretty well in the boxing game. We met when I was brought in to replace him as trainer for a particular fighter. It could have been a bad situation but we always treated one another with respect and we have remained friends ever since. He is building a management/matchmaking business and he is the matchmaker for the undercard of the upcoming Lomachenko fight.
