Instead of waiting to cherry pick an easy or vacant belt, Wilder fought Stiverne when he was considered the #2 heavyweight in the world. I'm not sure if Joshua even has a win over a guy rated that high.

When everyone was avoiding King Kong, Wilder made a voluntary defense against him when he was the #4 heavyweight in the world. When there was doubt over the result, he gave him a rematch.

He fought the #1 heavyweight Tyson Fury THREE TIMES.

The idea that Wilder doesn't look for decent fights is ridiculous. When Povetkin won the purse bid, did he vacate? No. He flew overseas to face Povetkin IN RUSSIA. Wilder has shown balls over and over. When Joshua wanted $50 million, Wilder agreed.

Is this another NEET Alt account?
    I've already tagged 1 Alt.....
King Kong hasn't fought anyone either. Oh and Wilder never fought an old Sasha which would have clearly been his best oppenet.
Stiverne was garbage and never seen as No.2 on a consnsus level. A fighter getting pushed up the ranks with 1 org doesn't mean anything.
Wilder only picked Fury because he was lineal and at that point considered damaged goods and easy win which turned out to be wrong.

The fight did not happen 4 years ago when it should have done because Eddie Hearn, did not want to risk his golden goose PPV star against Wilder. He believed there was a high risk of AJ getting bodied.

Then Hearn tries to use Whyte as a bodyguard with a rematch clause...Pathetic.

Wilder is interviewed here and says "He was just a coward, he didnt want to fight. When you are offered 50 million USD."

If the fight ever happens again, it would depend on

    1. AJ no longer being that golden goose PPV star, likely following a 2nd loss to Usyk and

    2. There being enough money in the fight for make sense for both guys.

I can tell Wilder wants the fight.

After Ortiz/Martin I again think this fight is ever further from happening.

Wilder best win on his resume in a title fight just went life and death with arguably one of Joshua's worst opponents in a title fight.

That's not true though is it?
Wilder talks just as much crap as Fury does. Wilder was offered mega money to fight Joshua and turned it down.
Joshua is the only one who was trying to fight everyone because his goal was to unify. Wilder never had that ambition as shown by him sitting on the WBC belt for 5 years and doing nothing with it.
This is just a fact you cannot overturn as the history of both is there to see plain as day.

Who I am going to believe is the ***** in this case.

The guy who fights like a warrior and is prepared to go out on his shield in the ring.

Or the guy who fights like he is scared of getting hit and quit against a fat Mexican.

When you look at actions, it gives you a good idea of who is telling the truth.

Wilder has proven to be more of a man in the ring than AJ has.

When it’s a he said, he said case. Look at the actions.

How they fight in the ring has nothing to do with it you mong.
I am basing it on actions on who they have fought. The fact Wilder got beaten from pillar to post doesn't mean anything in this conversation.
His resume is garbage he could have fought people like Whyte or Parker but he didn't want to risk it.
Your basing your opinion based on emotion I'm basing it and what each has actually happened.
Wilder deserves some credit for not quitting against Fury but his actions before that show someone who did not try and be great and unify instead sitting on his belt fighting the likes of Stiverne and Ortiz twice FFS.

The idea that Wilder is some kinda warrior because he fought Fury three times is laughable.

He fought Fury once because he was a former undisputed who had spent years on the sofa, massively overweight suffering from mental health problems, trying to rekindle a lost career and Wilder wanted an easy fight with a big name attached.

He fought him twice because Fury put the first mark outside his win column on his resume, most right minded people thought he got handily dealt with and that last round KD gave him confidence in a rematch.

He fought him 3 times because Fury had given him one of the most one sided embarrassing beatings in a title fight and after a long time in hiding had to do it to save his destroyed ego, career, legacy, respect and put to bed the demons.

AJ maintained an active, interesting career, avenged a defeat, had a FOTY contender with an albeit diminished legend and will enact a rematch clause most have advised he runs a mile from due to styles.

AJ doesn’t have the best resume or career but he’s conducted himself a damn sight better than Wilder.

Ring Magazine and ESPN had Stiverne rated #2 in the world when Wilder shut him out.

ESPN? your having a joke. The ring rankings don't mean anything either.
Stiverne has never been No2 at any time Double Chin you know this.

Who were the rest of the top 10 in that list? Ortiz is by far Wilder`s best win or wins.
