Lennox Lewis still holds a grudge against Riddick Bowe

That is not fear

 

Being wary is not the same as being afraid.

 

If Bowe approached me like that I'd probably give him some spare change.

 

Not fear. More like contempt or distrust.

 

He looked apprehensive for sure but not fearful you don't have the career Lewis had by being fearful. I get why he was apprehensive given their history and Bowe's sometimes erratic behaviour. Remember when he sucker punched Donald or when Bowe kidnapped his wife, he's a guy you should be wary off.

 

Bowe has a screw loose or was raised in very different circumstances to most normal humans. Add his CTE to it. You can easily get on the wrong side of a man like that.

Lennox isn't one to let people dictate even if they're acting a fool so yeah wary, doesn't want to cause trouble but if trouble comes his way he'll do what he has to do.

 

The way he was eyeballing Bowe from the side as he approached and got out of his chair quickly looked like he was expecting a fight. Can’t blame him, the last time they were in close proximity they had to be separated.

 

Probably taken aback by it all. In later interviews he said it's all cool.

Bowe probably rehearsed this in his head so he knew what he wanted to say. Lennox was just take by surprise by it all.

 

Lennox stood up quickly to shake Bowes hand, that is just basic manners, Lennox was working, headset in situ etc, Bowe approaches unannounced so catching Lennox by surprise, given Bowes previous beef with Lennox and a cameraman in tow i think Lennox handled things well, he could have rightly said i'm working but we will catch up later, but no he listened, engaged in dialogue and it all was polite.

 

Nah Lennox isn't holding a grudge nonsense thread.
I think Lennox is in good enough shape to defend himself against Bowe at this point.
As others have stated I think Bowe had prepared himself and Lennox was not aware of this happening. so was a little wary that's all.

 

This is so beautiful to see the end of the animosity. Great start to the New Year.

 

Bowe can barely communicate these days. Lewis was wise to be on guard with someone as mentally decrepit as Riddick as you never can tell what's going on in what's left of his mind. Bowe had his chance to fight Lennox before engaging in the most blatant duck in the history of the heavyweight division. I would have far more respect for him had he taken the fight and lost.

 

Bowe must be hopelessly after some exhibition money or something. Lewis still can't stand him.

 

Bowe has severe brain damage. Man he sounds awful. Can hardly keep his eyelids open.
