Who Believes That Foreman Was Drugged In Zaire?

    the people that believe this have a strong point in my opinion. ALi was the biggest draw in the history of sports, foreman was nothing. if he had of lost, major people in the boxing world would of lost out on a lot of money. it was better for the sport and money men that Ali won


    I believe that ali in 74 still had the skills and smarts to beat foreman. but the laws of life and business make me think that there was a lot of force against foreman

    A freind of mine, who was a top fighter in his day and commentated on this fight is a strong believer in this theory. he said that he nearly let his feelings be known on air while he was commentating on this fight

    It's a legit question considering that boxing is a horribly crooked sport but is there any real proof ? Unless there is some real proof it's hard to make a case .. as Bundini said "It wasn't the African weather, it was the Ali weather."

    Good thread? You made it!

    Provide some proof as to why I'm naive. Is there any evidence for this whatsoever? If there was I'd take a closer look, but as of now there really isn't as far as I can tell. I'm naive because I'm not willing to believe something with absolutely nothing to back it?

    Foreman (& his people) made the mistake of going over to
    Zaire and playing into Ali & Don King's strength.

    Foreman was the champ.

    Should have fought in the Houston Astrodome in George's hometown,
    just down the way from the 5th Ward.

    How can you look at the way Foreman fought that night and argue he was drugged. He beat on Ali as badly as Frazier, Ali was just durable enough to take it. Foreman wore himself out and then lost.

    I don't even George Foreman believes he was drugged.

    Foreman looked as sharp as ever. He was simply beaten by the better man.
