Don't forget Joe Joyce. He ducked Hrgovic for the European Title in 2020. And he is also in the IBF rankings, so that means he previously ducked him for the IBF title shot. Which is a quicker route to the title than the WBO (which is the main complaint against Parker)

    So the duck list is:
Martin, Ortiz, Parker, Ruiz Jr., Yoka, Joyce, maybe more

Parker could have at least tried. It is far from guaranteed that Hrgovic will demand more money.

True Joyce chose not to fight Hrgovic but that's because he instead signed to fight Dubois for more money in April 2020 only for the Covid wave in early 2020 result in that being cancelled.

I guess you can call it a duck but EBU title means little and it wasn't an eliminator for the IBF back then as Hrgovic was only ranked 8th by the IBF and Joyce wasn't even ranked by them.

But I'd say money was the reason for not taking the fight not the fear of losing, especially as Joyce has beaten Hrgovic in WSB.

Well yeah, money will have been a reason. Money will have been part of the reason for Parker not taking the Hrgovic fight too.

If it is not about fear of taking the fight for Joyce. We could look at who Joyce has shared the ring with, and compare who is on Parker's resume.

My point is, if people are happy saying Parker is ducking, there are a lot of fighters that should fall under that standard

True it's all about money and the WBO eliminator between Joyce and Parker as the 2 top ranked WBO heavies and Joyce previously in line for an eliminator with Usyk, it does seem very likely that this will happen this year even if it's not official yet and nothing has been mandated.

Parker/Joyce is almost guaranteed PPV in the UK. I can't say the same for Parker/Hrgovic and even if it is it simply won't draw as much without a Brit heavyweight in the headliner.

So Parker is "injured" but still training with Fury(just watch his instagram story)

They should drop him from rankings of IBF

The entire division with its belts fears him. Who would't take a mandatory for a title shot? And I don't see the champions calling him out either.Fury, who has fought nobody aside from Wilder and we all know Wilder is a fraud wants an easier mark next. Enough all ready. Lets see Fury or Usyk vs Hrgovic. It an intriguing match due to Hrgovic's lack of experience.

No no. Hrgovic was but 20 years old for that match which went the distance. Joyce was a full grown man at age 26. That match was along time ago and means nothing except that Hrgovic has a top chin. Now Joyce is 26 and Hrgovic 29.

One off the best in the current HW scene :D

Above posts have mentioned other names. I'm slightly surprised since Hrgovic is not experienced at the top level. But there's no question he's being avoided by many quality HWs. They and their handlers know the sport better than most of us.

Some of the economic arguments here are weak. Similar to the Fury-Whyte BS. Today's HWs are fighting over money and boxing organization politics more than themselves :shakehead:

    Guys, listen-

As IBF #2, Hrgovic gets a 75-25 split to fight anyone.

That is a CHAMP level split. No wonder it is putting top boxers off!

Apparently it is only when Hrgovic reaches #2 or #1 that he gets a split this high. This is reportedly the IBF rules .
