Not hard to find anybody who subscribes to Sky Sports and/or BT Sports and very difficult to find anyone who subscribes to DAZN UK. Yes people still easily watch the fights with less clicks these days and the rise of alternative TV are big factors. I would be shocked and very impressed given the current Game Unchanged environment if there are 200k subscribers. Any news on the BT Sports takeover?
That's boxing for you mate Still slightly annoyed that I missed the undercard in hindsight, what can you do.
If DAZN wants to become a big player in the UK, it will require them to secure the rights to AJ's upcoming fights.
Well other than the fact he would actually know what the subscriber base is. The burden of truth is on those who dispute those claims.
The man has been found lying time and again - only proper mugths believe a word coming out of Earn's ring. He was paid 'a fortune' by DAZN UK to take Matchroom Boxthing to another level - what happened?
That´s a very good question Jurgen If I´m completely honest then I have been disappointed with Matchroom Boxing UK after they teamed up with DAZN. Especially in light of what Eddie Hearn promised. The UK Boxng events we have seen on DAZN have had the same level as when Matchroom was on Sky Sports.
The trouble is, Hearn manufactured a situation where fights like Chisora-Parker & Whyte-Rivas were ppv, now acts the dogs nuts because he’s putting these fights on at £7.99 a month. He literally created mediocrity with the quality of Saturday night fights nights & now the standard is slightly better he’s crowing. If I give you **** & sugar for dinner one night, it doesn’t turn the bread & water you get the next night into steak & wine
I don’t think that’s quite true. Most of these wouldn’t have been a Saturday fight night. Warrington vs Lara for a start
That fight would have certainly been a Saturday fight night on Sky Sports before Earn ruined Sky Sports Boxing Earn has rewired the brains of mugths
Sadly, the reality is that some of the listed fights will drop away in that period because of covid. So too early to say if it will be value for money.
Definitely.., and not just cause of covid. Been so many good fights getting cancelled lately Joe Smith Jr vs Callum Johnson Joshua Buatsi vs Maxim Vlasov Dillian Whyte vs Otto Wallin Chris Eubank Jr vs Liam Williams Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall Gennady Golovkin vs Ryota Murata Arsen Goulamarian vs Aleksei Egorov Magomed Kurbanov vs Patrick Texeira
Yeah exactly. DAZN should be adding in another couple of good Bill's to schedule knowing realistically some will fall away.
