    Joshua-Usyk was 80/20.

    Klitschko-Fury was 80/20.

    Joshua-Pulev was 80/20.

Asking to have the split modified to 80/20 happens all the time.

    Fury is calling Whyte's bluff.

Mr. I Never Got Given Nuffin Ever has already priced himself out of one fight he claimed to desire, let's see him live up to his schtick and back himself for good money with a view to making even better money later.

I'd sooner watch Fury-Joyce than Fury-Whyte, without question. Painterly Joe is a much more compelling and tricky opponent. (Though, I don't think that fight happens before Fury meets Usyk.)

For all the bitching Whyte's done, here are the facts:
He had the choice to fight Joshua for the unified title ……..backed out
He had the choice to fight wilder for the WBC …..if he agreed to fight luis Ortiz first….he backed out
He was supposed to fight Wallin a few weeks ago, he backed out
He has the choice to fight fury and earn his career high payday………he’s making excuses again

The guy is a ****ing idiot.

Let suppose, somehow Whyte beats Fury. If the WBC can do as they please unchallenged regarding purse splits because in their rules it says they don't actually have to following their own guidelines, and we know they have form for preventing fighters going for undisputed (see Stiverne), what is to stop them calling Wilder v Whyte, then Ruiz Jr. v Whyte and saying, well Wilder's last three fights made X so that is 50-50 for the challenger. Then should he beat Wilder, Ruiz Jr.'s last 3 fights made X, so that's another 50-50.
I doubt Joyce would take the sub-5% split Fury would offer him based on past earnings.

I agree with everything here apart from him getting to fight Wilder. Had he agreed to fight and beat Ortiz to be mandatory he wouldn't of fought Wilder as there hasn't been a WBC mandatory mandated until now so him fighting and beating Ortiz actually wouldn't have changed a thing other than he would of been mandatory longer and have a smaller bank balance for not fighting Parker on PPV.

    Yes. 70-30 is very reasonable.

This is the point where the deal is fair for both sides in term of risk, status and condition.

Fury needs to accept that mandatory challenge is inevitable. He needs to back off a bit since Whyte is not high risk opponent and 70% is much better than 55% nonsense.

Whyte needs to accept that he is a challenger, not the actual belt holder despite of his 'interim' status. No challenger deserve to get 45% under normal condition and he is not the biggest attraction here.

Agreed the teams should just do a deal on 70/30 split and ****ing be done with it.

If Furys camp offer Whyte 30% and he continues to turn it down, then he is absolutely ducking.

    It's not that simple.
The pursebid is a main issue in the negotiations. Fury/Arum don't want the pursebid for obvious reasons.

80/20 with pursebids is probably better for Whyte as 70/30 without. (PPV sales/home advantage)

    70/30

Whyte is a fat bum nobody cares about. 30% would be a huge payday for him and sure according to him and a few whyte fanboys, Fury is easy work

70% would be pretty good if it's such an easy nights work eh?

Whyte needs to face the reality that he is not worth more than 30%, and that's being generous.

This isn't true. Had he won the final eliminator against Ortiz, his mandatory would have been enforced in 2020. It's 2022 and he still hasn't had his shot. The bottom line is that Hearn didn't want to risk losing the purse bid and Whyte having to face Ortiz without a british ref.

Why would it have been enforced in 2020? Wilder has often gone years without having to face a mandatory the WBC have a very lax approach on enforcing mandatories in general. Wilder's only fought 2 mandatories in 5 years as champion. You have no proof that it would of happened in 2020 at all that's pure speculation on your part.

Sure his mandatory was up but no reason why WBC with their lax approach would enforce it, it was only enforced now because Whyte took them to court. Remember at the start of the year WBC even made a statement staying due to the arbitration Whyte's mandatory status would not be enforced only for them to lose the arbitration and so were then forced to mandate Whyte's title shot.

It's worth mentioning in this that for all of the 'Whytes been mandatory talk' he actually hasn't.

He lost to Povetkin, which meant the mandatory status reset - so he's only been mandatory since March 2021.

Deontay Wilder was the 2015 WBC mandatory.

Alex Povetkin was the 2016 WBC mandatory (fight canceled due to drug test failure).

Bermane Stiverne was the 2017 WBC mandatory.

2018 was the only year without a mandatory.

Dominic Breazeale was the 2019 WBC mandatory.

Tyson Fury was the 2020 WBC mandatory (replacing Whyte due to drug test failure).
