I think Ruiz would put up a great fight at first. He's a legit fast punching hard hitting heavy with a good chin.

That said Marciano was, contrary to popular belief, not that easy to hit clean and tough as hell himself. Let's be honest here, the way Ruiz looks is not healthy and I'd fancy one of boxing's genuine stamina monsters in Marciano to take over decisively the longer the fight goes on.

Moore beat the hell out of Baker and Cestac. Both 6-2-6”4 men weighting 220 plus. Knocking both out. Power was never a problem for Moore.

Embrell Davidson was 6”1 210 pounds.

I was gonna immediately say Rocky, as the idea of Ruiz beating one of the all time greats sounds pretty ridiculous at face value. But the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking Ruiz would take it, and probably by knockout or stoppage. Ruiz has way more power, and while he's slower than Rocky, he's a very tricky puncher. His fists are pretty fast too, even if the rest of his body isn't quite up to Rocky's pace.

I think Ruiz knocks out Marciano around round 8. Blasphemy, I know.

We have to be the first generation if boxing fans that sees obesity as a positive lol.

If this fight was proposed in the 50s...the average fan "The Rock knocks fat boy out "

Today..."the fat boy got size though.."

Fat Don was lean compared to Ruiz and the average dude walking around now.

Cestac lost the first fight by decision the second he was retired. And Baker got a terrible beating. Yes you’re right he was’t 220 for that fight. Thought he always fought that heavy but I suppose not.

You don't think the size of the men you ko has any significance?
Moore stopped the following name heavies.
    Baker by tko
    Lavorante by tko
    Rischer by ko
    Besmanoff tko
    Rademacher
    Bivins cut eye.
Only Baker was top ten ranked.

    Wee bit disturbing, innit?

I ordinarily lean more towards the moderns, but the recent trend you highlight makes me want more of the crotchety old Bert Sugar crowd again.

Lavorante was ranked and Bivins was as well. Also Phil Muscato was ranked and stopped by Moore. Other impressive KOs would include Harold Johnson and Bob Satterfield despite being at light heavy two very talented heavyweight contenders. Moore could bang no way around it.

Bivins wasnt ranked in 51 when Moore stopped him with an injured eye.Muscato doesn't feature in the 48 or 49 end of year rankings ,and he fought Moore in 49 why do you think he was ranked? You're right about Lavorante, he was briefly ranked after upsetting Folley.
