Damn, no rest for the wicked, Fimo is being tossed right back in with the wolves. Good! Just like Kambosos, Barboza is not what I'd call stylistically very favorable to Lopez. Although I still favor Lopez by stoppage, another upset wouldn't shock me in the least.
ABJ is pretty good. I like him. Can get a little sloppy at times and maybe a bit frustrated with himself because he hasn't got the power to end fights. Like he didn't want to do the 8 hour day when all his workmates get to go home at lunch. Has a very good lead hand..He will be super confident coming into this fight. Pretty decent comeback.
ABJ is no joke... but for a guy who talks as much as teo does, they should feed him to prograis or have him drowned by zepeda immediately. All this talk about Taylor just to fight someone who isnt on that level is absurd. He should be humbled some more!
Taylor flat out said he would not fight Lopez. Not out of fear, just that and I agree, why should Teo get a shot at all the belts in his 1st fight after a loss and 1st in the division. Critisizing Teo for not fighting Taylor is hatred.
I like this a lot. Some people in Teo's position would go back to tomato cans (even very respected fighters do this). This is a challenging but realistic fight, clearly he is rebuilding rather than cashing out. It shows that once again Teo is serious about his career and not afraid to lose. It's cool to see that in a rising star. He's taking risky fight after risky fight. Glad to see he is recapturing momentum after the total derailment that occurred over the whole Kambosos contract and purse bid circus (a problem of his own creation) and losing a pretty brutal fight in the ring.
That means he would have to admit making 135 didn't contribute to him losing. To be fair at some point he was going to have to move up.
It would have been nice to see him rematch GKJ. I thought Teo had a bad night, maybe COVID-19 after effects or the fight delays and ring rust. Josh Taylor already stated that under no circumstance he would ever fight Teo.... so 140 might be a fruitless endeavour for him. Damn, he should have just got his rematch of fight the other dudes at 135.
should have tried his luck in a rematch. no one is gonna give him belt fights unless he becomes a mandatory. if he loses this fight he is mentally done.
